Anyone waiting for a GTS Allocation ?

It does Schuey however offers more protection and no edges. Relatively small difference against the price of your beloved GTS ;-)

My GTS Targa has arrived at the dealer and will pick up next Wednesday and take it to have PPF front end and rear arches with Ceramic coating to the rest.

I hope we are going to get some good pictures of these new arrivals to keep those of us still waiting happy! [:D]

As delivered.

Is it true that some dealers get more allocations than others in general across the model range? And if so, why is this the case and how come there isn't a fair distribution across the dealer network?

I had the same argument with my dealer principle at my OPC.
Have had a 5k deposit on a Boxster GTS 4.0 for 7 months.
and as no clue to when I will get a allocation. Never mind the car

Of course, larger outlets with higher sales volumes receive a larger allocation of cars - Twas ever thus! [;)]

But surely if there are signed order forms in the system, then these should be prioritised according to date placed etc regardless of dealership size or sales volumes? That's how normal businesses work, you fulfil the orders as they come regardless of where they come from. It seems an unfair system as of now...

It's probably because you are buying from a dealer, not a manufacturer. This allows us to (amongst other things) play off one dealer against another.

Yes, but in my simple head, once you place an order with a dealer, it then gets submitted to Porsche AG, and they then have visibility of where the order has come from, what date it was submitted and then accordingly as allocation slots become available they inform dealers who then inform the customers etc...

Or have I got it completely wrong?

You're confusing orders with allocation. Each Centre satisfies customers' orders from the allocation of cars it receives from the factory. [;)]
