Anyone waiting for a GTS Allocation ?

Hi - first time forum contributor - go gentle!
Placed an order for a GTS in early July was informed in August that i was 'lucky' and had made the October allocation - wow!!
I then got 'the call' re: 'chip issues' and feared the worst. However, the delay was only until November - i was hesitant......
Was informed last week that vehicle had been built and was now awaiting transfer to the port.
Apparently the HGV lorry driver shortage is also playing havoc so i'm guessing that it will be c'3 weeks to get to the UK and complete registration etc. Fingers crossed...
I was informed by the dealer that the delivery time for new orders is now 2023 - ouch!
Does anyone know how many have actually made it into the UK yet?
Lucky indeed and welcome.

Gives us all hope things are going well with production.

Welcome and yes, that’s incredibly lucky. I also have one on order but have zero visibility of timing or guidance from my OPC.

meantime, here is Lee Sibley’s review of the GTS (in manual form) pitted against the Carrera S and GT3 to whet the appetite:

Lee is our guest on next week’s Zoom call (see other thread or the email invite) and please do keep the questions for him coming, so far I’ve received a few interesting ones

Which other thread James?

Hi, just joined pcgb a few weeks back, first post. Ordered a new GTS a while back. Latest schedule: V250 vehicle fixed in production 12 Nov, V300 vehicle completion 3 December 2021. Thereafter shipping, registration etc. It’s actually my first ever new car, and first Porsche. Super excited!

Welcome and good news. When did you place your order? Your dealer seems to be very good, I've never heard of production codes like this with Porsche, I have however with BMW.

Ok, about 2 weeks before me then. I have no info like you however, and not been told to lock my spec in yet either.

Hi,
Paid my deposit for a Convertible GTS on 22nd June after selling my 991.2 GTS. Informed yesterday build slot is early Q1 and need to fix my spec by 17th Jan with delivery 1st March.

Any of you received your invite to the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone for the GTS?

My Targa GTS was ordered in June with an October delivery mentioned, dealer has kept me informed along the way of delays etc, just heard the car is built and is on the way to the docks, hopefully late November early December for me, then straight for PPF and ceramic coating.

Yep, mine came through yesterday as well.
Good sign that GTS's are rolling off the production line I suppose. My OPC also confirmed yesterday I'm still on track for a March/April delivery. Ordered Late June.

Yes, I thought it was a good sign too. March/April is what my dealer is telling me too.

Build slot confirmed by the OPC today for a March delivery so I’m very happy with that news.

My prelim spec had Night Blue Metallic as the colour but that’s been deleted as an option for 2022 cars, so a rethink is required.

Ahead of that decision I’ve got a PEC Silverstone day booked for Dec 3rd to drive the GTS which is very exciting.

That is great news, feel happy for you. ??????

What colour have you gone for? I've plumped for Gentian Blue. Saw it on a 911 C2S recently. It looks superb.

Gentian Blue is lovely when 100% clean (see my profile pic) but I've been finding it gets dirty and dull really easily. Leave it outside for a few days or drive in the wet and it looks grubby blue. Perfect for a garage queen, high maintenance for a daily.
I almost plucked up the courage for Python green or Lava Orange but settled on Crayon as the 911s I've seen in it look lovey and I've never had a white car before (lots of blue, black, silver and reds).
Would be interested to hear on anyone's experience with Crayon.
