ORIGINAL: Amanda964 My 964 is for sale on PistonHeads While I am prepared to consider offers, they need to be sensible. Why for sale? Ten months on from redundancy and I am still unemployed. The upkeep of a classic car is simply impossible without a regular income. Very sad sale and not from choice I'm afraid. I neither intended nor expected to still be out of work by now, but there simply aren't any jobs out there....or at least, suitable jobs paying a salary to keep both a roof over my head and a 911.

ORIGINAL: colin129 I sympathise with you Amanda, having been in the same position as you. Several times over the 14 months I was out of work I considered selling my car but ultimately I was able to hold on to it. I drove it for about 10 miles or so each week and got away with a light touch service and have had to delay significantly the body/paint work I had been planning, but I've still got it thankfully. I guess that I realised that if I did sell it, I would proabably never be able to replace it and I couldn't bear the thought of selling it just to clear my credit card debt and have a few quid in the bank which the Government would have used as an excuse to curtail my barely existent benefits. Tough it out if you can, because you'll regret it if you do sell. Alternatively, pic up a well cared for 944S2 for £4K or so when you sell it , which you will find a particularly rewarding drive.
ORIGINAL: x12yhp I am thinking about a 964 3.3T (or a 993C/possibly 996 Turbo)... so if there are any goodies out there... please let me know.
ORIGINAL: x12yhp Pockets are, unfortunately, not that deep! It is £5k beyond where I would be willing to go. I agree with Steve... does he not know what he has got or is he just lazy?
