964s for sale

There has been a lot of discussion on the forum lately about 964s for sale and wanted and it seems to me that it would be useful to provide a matching service between sellers and buyers. Not as a commercial exercise but just as a means of helping the 964 community as a whole.

If anyone wishing to sell a 964 could e-mail me some basic details of the car with any history that is relevant I will happily include the car in a list which I will send by e-mail to anyone who asks. As 964 Register Secretary I get asked on a regular basis, as does Steve Brookes, about what cars are currently available. Hopefully by doing this we can make it more fruitful for everybody.

The published list will not include your address but WILL include your home town - just so potential buyers can judge the feasibility of viewiing.

If your car is currently advertised on the Internet please include a link to the advert and, if you have a personal registration number please indicate if you are including it in the sale and tell me if you would like the plate obscured in any photos you might include.

A good idea. I would find it useful for another reason. My insurance is due and for the first time in many years I have been asked for a written valuation. Apart from needing to find an acceptable 'expert' in the wilds of Norfolk I would be interested in knowing where to start with my 1992 964 C2. In the past, I have only been asked to provide self condition assessements and current photos to get agreed values on cars as varied as the 911, a Jaguar 'E' Type, TR7V8, 1932 Austin 7, Frogeye Sprite and 1965 Toyota Sports 800 (what?) - Not all at the same time! Johncolt.
John, On the subject of valuations, you should be aware of the fact that providing valuations is a free service provided by the Club. Steve Kevlin is the contact at Cornbury House but all you need to do it to fill in the form ([link=]download it here[/link]) and supply the necessary photos and pop it in the post to Steve. It does take a few weeks I'll admit but it does then give you an official valuation that carries some clout with the Insurance Companies. Regards Dave
