Hi All
Sold my 991.1 C2S back to OPC in July and then I placed my £5k deposit for a GTS late August and eagerly await my allocation
I'm hoping to get a December allocation for delivery Q2 2022
I'm going for the Aerokit :)

Just wondered if anyone else is in the same position.....the wait will be worth it!!! :)

Sold mine end august
was told no chance GTS 992 till q3 2022 so opted for a cayman GTS 4.0 and I’ll order a 992 next year

So you won't now get a 992 GTS until 2023 then, I guess! [:D]
Regards,

Clive

Put my deposit down in June as soon as 992 GTS was announced. Norwich OPC had 7 (of which 1 demo) allocated and I opted for a December build as I'm not in a tearing hurry for it. Told to expect delays however nothing like some of the horror stories people are talking about. In case you're interested, I've opted for 2WD, Gentian Blue, GTS interior (crayon), gloss black exterior package, black calipers, rear wheel steer, PDCC, Bose, etc.

To be honest I’m happy with the 4.0 GTS cayman till spring 2023 Clive
don’t mind a bit of mid engine driving for a bit
but ultimately a 911 man so back we go??

Keen to add to / follow this thread given I placed my GTS deposit at a similar time to you (23 August) and have zero visibility right now of allocation timing etc.

For what it’s worth my colleague, using a different OPC, placed his GTS deposit Four weeks later and was told at that time to expect a delivery schedule of 9months.

Hi,
992 rather than 992 GTS related. My 992 was ordered in January '21 and was delivered 3 weeks ago. (yes with one key). I thought it was interesting that the US/Canada have been reduced to just 20% of their expected allocations. (U.S. source close to U.S. Porsche). The problems worldwide are many and whilst they relate to semi-conductors I'm told there have been issues with leather supply as well.
I too have heard that U.K. dealers are very reluctant to quote delivery times on 992s. Sorry if if isn't particularly helpful, but I wish you luck with the GTS. It will be well worth it when it arrives. (small consolation I know).

Hi All,
I've just got around to joining PCGB of many years of Porsche ownership - can't think why I waited so long.
Thought I'd share recent my experience with various OPC after trading my 991.2 GTS in August. I was told that 'unofficially' 992 production was currently halted. One OPC had recently taken a deposit for a 992 (not sure of the model) and was looking at a 2023 delivery date. A second centre told me that they were currently unable to provide an 992 delivery dates, with the exception GTS.
I intended to keep my GTS longer but was concerned at the mileage I was putting on it - it was in at an OPC recently for some routine work and my car was at 44k, with an identical model in for service had 5k on the clock - gulp![:-]
I'm currently awaiting delivery of a 992 C2S cab. having decided that my current 718 Spyder, whilst superb on right roads - ideally, smooth tarmac - maybe less than ideal for tight, rutted B roads in Somerset and frequent motorway trips to London. I'm looking forward to enjoying the 'plush' ride of my 992 (even with the PASM Sports suspension), plus the effortless speed. My 992 will be an OPC ex-demonstrator, so fortunately will be with me in a few weeks.
Hopefully, for all those people with cars on order, 992 production will be back up to speed before too long!

Current: 718 Spyder
Gone: 718 GT4
991.2 GTS
718 Cayman 4.0 GTS
718 Boxter GTS
718 Boxter
997.2 C4S
Cayenne Diesel (nice for holidays!)
997 4 GTS
997.1 C4S manual

latest I've heard is delivery dates for GTS and Turbos are 2023 now across the board - carrera s maybe earlier - but the gts is no longer an early availability option.
was thinking about one and in the end have gone for a turbo - hopefully I'll still be above ground by the time it's delivered [:D]

Seems like there is a wide variety on delivery dates but with nothing concrete and dealer dependent. Does this have something to do with allocation? As get I the impression some dealers get allocated more of certain models than others do? I placed an order for another Turbo S in August and was told Q3 2022 possible Q2 depending on their allocation.

As Clive suggested above - 992GTS down here expected Q2 2023 I’m putting deposit down shortly for that and awaiting my cayman GTS 4.0 Q1 2022 already in showroom.
I’ll run that till my 992 arrives

Placed my order back in July and have been told a few times by the OPC (most recently late Sept) to currently expect delivery end Q1 start Q2 2022. I'm sure it will be more like late Q2 so will be happy if that changes.

Doubt I'll get to test a manual GTS on the free Silverstone day you get any time soon and keeping an eye on valuations of my 992 CS to get the best deal come delivery.

Hello,

Interesting reading reading through this. I sold my 992C2S in July. I have had recent conversation with 2 dealers about delivery for a GTS they are both talking Q3 2022. This was about a week ago. One of the dealers did mention if I wanted a new C2S it would be 2023. The impression I get is that they are concentrating on GTS models new year but I could be wrong.

I heard the same thing from my OPC a month back - but when it came to ordering time (last week) things had changed and everything was 2023. The C2S was longer lead time than the GTS a month ago - so the dealers were encouraging customers to order GTS's - but I figure that's all happened now and everything is 2023 delivery now. I went for a Turbo instead of the GTS for several reasons - one of which is they are now pretty much the same lead time, other was options choice on the Turbo was more suitable for my needs - but that's another story. So where things are now, any new order seems to be delivery 2023.

Anyone had any update on allocations for the GTS? I heard dealers are finding out about allocations for the next batch of customers orders this month.

Funny enough I had an email from my OPC only yesterday saying everything was still on plan (my plan being a Q1-Q2 2022 delivery).
However I'll be contacting them this week to confirm what the plan is and when I will have a lock on my build.

Hi - first time forum contributor - go gentle!
Placed an order for a GTS in early July was informed in August that i was 'lucky' and had made the October allocation - wow!!
I then got 'the call' re: 'chip issues' and feared the worst. However, the delay was only until November - i was hesitant......
Was informed last week that vehicle had been built and was now awaiting transfer to the port.
Apparently the HGV lorry driver shortage is also playing havoc so i'm guessing that it will be c'3 weeks to get to the UK and complete registration etc. Fingers crossed...
I was informed by the dealer that the delivery time for new orders is now 2023 - ouch!
Does anyone know how many have actually made it into the UK yet?
