Hi all.

A last minute cancelation of a previously organised trip has opened up the possibility of joining the WOTY.

Hotel booked so looking forward to a great weekend's driving!

Thanks to David and Jacquie for organising.

John & Gillian

If we are not too late and there are spaces available we would like to join you for the weekend

Hi,

Unfortunately the cut off for room booking and menu choices for the club private dining was the 26th March.

Saying that you are more than welcome to join us on the Saturday and/or Sunday run, and should you wish to stay at the same hotel you can contact them direct, and make your own arrangements for rooms and food as others are doing.

David.

Unfortunately we could not make the comment to join you earlier, such is life

We’ll book the hotel independently and join you on the runs

Could you send Penrith meeting point details please

Hotel Booked! Missed out on the special rate but it was only £5 more to book today - for anyone still thinking of joining!

Looking forward to it - having been so busy as of late and missing out on so much.

RK

Richard - Good to hear you managed to get booked.

For anyone else wishing to join us, you may still book direct with the hotel as Richard has done.

However spaces for club private dinning are now closed due to menu choices and seating plans being submitted.

Anyone wishing to join either for the drive only or to arrange your own accomodation is more than welcome, you will now need to make alternative arrangements for food. Please do let me know however, as club parking in some locations are limited.

I will be posting details of route and timings for the weekend shortly.

Thanks,

David.

Hi all,

Looking to meet at the Rheged Centre, Penrith, CA11 0DQ just off the A66 at 10:00am on the Saturday 27th for depart around 10:30am. There is a petrol station and cafe there, so we can have a catch-up and tyre kick. With regards to the route I'll be handing out paper copies on the day.

Summary though, is head via Ullswater over the Kirkstone pass down to Windermere. Then via Ambleside and Torver around Coniston water down to Backbarrow to meet up for lunch and look around the Lakeland Motor Museum, LA12 8TA. After that back up alongside Windermere, via Crook and Kendal and join the M6 to the Preston Marriott, PR3 5JB.

Next day after breakfast meet at Samlesbury Hall Hotel, PR5 0UP(Edited) at 10:00am, then head over the Bowland Trough via Slaidburn onto the Yorkshire Dales for lunch at the Hawes Wensleydale cheese factory. I've then put in a route for people to head to Kirksby Stephen and the A66 to access either the M6 or A1(M). Should you want to head further south across the Dales via Grasssington and Pateley Bridge, that's an option for you.

This is of course a very casual route and should you want to add more routes in or head earlier to hotel feel free.

Any questions let me know, and see you on Saturday morning. David.

Hi David,

Thank you for all this prep - looking a wonderful weekend - your efforts are much appreciated and we are counting down the days.

Checking through your post you have Samlesbury Hotel as the same post code as the Motor Museum - checked and if it's Samlesbury Hall at the following address, the postcode appears to be PR5 0UP -

Preston New Rd., Samlesbury, Preston PR5 0UP

Just to check,

See you very soon,

Paul and Steph.
