Cleaned the car hoovered detailed to perfection. THEN coated with a product a friend told me about that he coats his car in, So had to try it the car came up with an amazing shine have to try it guys n girls it's called collinite 845. Like all polishes etc not for glass read all instructions.

Put the car back up on the ramp today with a job in mind to deal with this stubborn sump nut. After a knock here and there finally came free so changed the filter and oil. Next on my list is to fit new manifolds at the same time renew the coils and plugs. After that changing the tip box oil and filter then to fit new low temp thermostat. Really enjoying my life with porsche in it.

Light switch stopped working so removed and have bought new one one. broke vent flap in the process so bought new one of those too!!!!

80k service at Suffolk indie Charlie Wildridge (find him on pistonheads under William Francis) plus

braided steel brake hoses in a tartily tasteful red,

short shift kit

a cure for the parasitic drain (fingers crossed) by replacing the regulator on the alternator.

After clearing out the leaves & rubbish from the radiators, I fitted a Zunsport grill set. Very quick and easy to do, fitted in a matter of moments. I think it is a great addition to the front end.

Now to tackle the cloudy headlights.

I have removed front PU for general clean-up and fitting grills. I have gone down the ebay route and spent approx. £25 on parts on grill and fixings. I may write this up if anyone is interested.

Looks great! Just how quick and easy was it to do? Any specialist knowledge/tools required or just common sense and some instructions?

It was very easy. Good clear fitting instructions & four small holes to be drilled. Fitted in around ten minutes.

A very easy job that has a big impact on the look of the front end. I'm pleased with the outcome.

I have just fitted my own grills last weekend (I'll get pictures posted at some point). After some thought I went for grills behind, although using the method I used it would have been easier to remove the moulded insert completely.

However, I wanted to retain original components and I was concerned it would affect cooling efficiency and aerodynamics of the front end. Arguably you could say grills may affect cooling, but when you consider how much debris gets sucked in with poor maintenance I would consider the effects negligible.
