I shared a garage with him. Very nice bloke. But its not exactly an ideal car for those weather conditions! He went haring past me a couple of times - but then most people did!ORIGINAL: Neil Haughey The other was that Lotus 2/11, mega fast on the straights but he went a good 10 mph slower through that fast right after the new pits than I would have wanted then just pulled away from me through the next corner before I had a chance to get him back [], only joking [
].
Yeah, go on then. I'll try to keep up (if its dry!).ORIGINAL: paulf968 I have been thinking of doing another one of these, have spied the July 25th evening trackday also with Goldtrack.
Thanks Mike - scouring now.ORIGINAL: A9XXC Wasn't a very good day for photography but I tried! Some of my snaps (250!) - [link=http://s787.photobucket.com/albums/yy158/A9XXC/Silverstone%20Track%20Evening%2020%2006%2011/]Here[/link]

This was in the dry! That corner is only a short dab of brake down to about 90 mph then balanced throttle through and full throttle out and through the following left which is well over a ton in my S2 race car. I reckon the club championship fast guys will be faster still as I am not up to that pace yet, certainly a couple of guys have hinted to me about not braking which I think is impossible except in a very underpowered car, however one could always take the approach of maxing that first corner on the limit then running out wide on the next left. I think its faster overall to only use half the track there and get a nice run foot to the floor through the following left. He was definitely one of the good drivers out there, clean clear moves and a hand up to acknowledge, tbh I thought the driving standards were OK it was really only the Asbo and one of the Smart cars trying to race everyone 6" from your bumper. I tell you what though that 2/11 is a seriously seriously quick car, I honestly didn't think they had much power but it pulled away from me at an incredible rate of knots.ORIGINAL: spydermanI shared a garage with him.
