Saratoga Sunroof - Bulk-Buy

Yes, you mentioned that before Paul. Is that what you want to do or, have done? I just love the shape of the 944/968 [8D]. How far away is a 968 Club Sport from a 968 R/S? [8D][8D]

No Pete I remember when Ben Burt was selling his for £25k and I would choke stumping up an extra £10k for the same thing now [:(]. The 968 S/RS had a lot of unobtainium custom parts fitted, you'll never recreate the same thing today. However you can build something a lot faster than a standard 968. I do quite fancy a mapped TTRS, sort of a modern 944.

This is fantastic - I'm almost tempted to buy one even though my sunroof (skin only) is bonded in to my roof, and it would be the last thing I'd fit on a track car... :)

Tom & Oli,

Will this batch of glass roofs have the metal bolt caps (4 of them?) visible on the outer side or will they have a completely smooth glass outer side (with no bolt head caps visible)? The links to various pics above seem to show both styles so I'm confused as to what we'd be getting.

Personally, I'd much prefer a bolt-free glass outer (no chance of future leaks through the bolt holes or the black paint on the caps degrading). Hopefully you can clarify. Many thanks for making the effort with this bulk buy - the roofs look fantastic.

The above link from Pilkington shows bolts holding the clamps/brackets so I'd assume they will be there.
