Do you think I would post one up from my car?ORIGINAL: Melv That's coz Charles has the fake sticker..........[]
My eyesight not as good as it was but the number in the service book 'looks' the same as on the sticker. Is it a Clubsport that's be re-shelled using a lightweight shell? [8|] Don't all grab your chequebooks yet. Needs examination to be sure. For example: what does the chassis plate read and the stamped number in the rear shelf? Buyer beware! [

I'm with Jason on this, I reckon it could be a Clubbie that had its cage cut out in HKG. The service book looks similar to my old Jebsens supplied Celebration - I assume he has a stack of invoices to support the stamps etc. So has this car actually sold then ? I'm in the area on Friday and so may take a look at it.

I think there may be an inspection or two being done....not by the people I'd be having to inspect it mind you. Go and have a look Talat, take a camera....we are all intrigued (well I am at least) by this one....ORIGINAL: Talat I'm with Jason on this, I reckon it could be a Clubbie that had its cage cut out in HKG. The service book looks similar to my old Jebsens supplied Celebration - I assume he has a stack of invoices to support the stamps etc. So has this car actually sold then ? I'm in the area on Friday and so may take a look at it.

Back to the OP for a second as this looks very interesting: http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/showDetails.html?id=141235397&__lp=6&scopeId=C&sortOption.sortBy=price.consumerGrossEuro&sortOption.sortOrder=ASCENDING&makeModelVariant1.makeId=20100&makeModelVariant1.modelId=3%2C5%2C6%2C7%2C17&makeModelVariant1.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant2.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant3.searchInFreetext=false&vehicleCategory=Car&segment=Car&minFirstRegistrationDate=1990-01-01&maxFirstRegistrationDate=1993-12-31&minPrice=40000&siteId=GERMANY&negativeFeatures=EXPORT&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&export=NO_EXPORT&customerIdsAsString=&lang=en&pageNumber=3 Not an RS in the purest sense but looks good value (to me at least) on the face of it.

So let me get this Caine car straight in my head? It was a LHD car in HK where we think you can only use RHD's? It has a C/S chassis # but no cage? The engine # doesn't match the docs in places? The sticker is TOTALLY fake? Why would anyone even be thinking about buying this car??? Sorry, but 1 red flag you might ignore? But this car appears to have a whole family of skeletons in the cupboard! I mean, how you ever going to sell it on if you needed to? People are going to run a mile! IMHO Rick

Has anyone actually been and viewed this car in person ? There are so many flaws that it could almost be a wind up? How can you you describe a car as totally original then go on to show pictures of a clubsport chassis number with pictures of a car "presented" as a basic RS ? ?????
Sister Car to Matts ?
The HK car looks like the perfect project for someone who, say ...wanted to buy a lhd GP White Lightweight... perhaps strip everything RSL out .... maybe weld in cage ...and end up with a clubsport ...only this time with a genuine clubsport VIN... He could even paint the headlamp rims bright orange...! [

Well at the moment it seems I have just paid for the most expensive inspection in history and with the littlest amount of information in return!! For 500 notes you'd expect more than a 5 line email saying we weren't able to drive the car as the battery was flat wouldn't you? Not impressed, more so with the fact that the person i'm looking to buy it off had made no effort to get their dealer to have it ready for inspection.....currently bouncing off walls....more later no doubt [&o][&o][&o]ORIGINAL: h_____ Jason, Have I missed something or are you going to elaborate on your inspection pending sig? I was going to start a new thread, but there isnt space on first page anymore....[&:]
C'mon Jason spill the beans........ beyond the beast that lurks within.......obviously talking about the RSR with Mclean and Co.....you've been out of the fold for too long. What you looking at?
Guys, I think that white car had a write up in the classifieds of 911 & PW back in Feb 2003. It was being sold by MCP (sorry, photographic memory) and looking at the p/heads ad I can see a service sticker back to 2002 from MCP. May be wrong, but there is a write up about an ex HK white 964RS that had 1 owner....... That said, the write up doesn't really tell much. Cheers, Jon
