Very white outside, very pretty yes but not car weather and defiantly not 944 conditions[

Agreed. There's always an increased risk with snow and even if you're well equipped for it others, more often than not, aren't and you can quite easily become involved in "someone else's accident". It doesn't seem sensible to face that increased risk for a social gathering.ORIGINAL: pauljmcnulty 4 inches here, so I think we made the right choice! [&o]

I'm glad we've canceled, it just wouldn't have been worth the risk. Just to echo the points about ' other peoples accidents', I had to drive a friend back to her home near to rutland at the height of the snow late last night so I took the rover. I was doing about 30 on the A1 and there was only one clear-ish lane. I noticed some idiot doing 45 in the very snowy overtaking lane coming up behind me. As he overtook and pelted my car with snow I backed off. I'm glad I did because 10 yards after he passed me he'd run out skill and was completely sideways and almost off the road. He then proceeded to stay in the clearer lane and aggressively tailgate the guy in front. I was glad to get back home! I'll sort out dates after I've had a chat with the other half.
