Museum trip and ring trip next year

ORIGINAL: CarreraRSR

Not entirely my fault. Both are over 3 months late! Hopefully picking up the car Saturday minus its front end which still needs painting. Hoping to pick up the engine end of next week but not holding my breath. This trip may well be at 50 mph for its running in period!!

Not a problem, it's not a race [:D]

Nice one [:)]

Are you just doing the Dinslaken Show and The Ring?

Well... it was supposed to just be Dinslaken... but... I see there is an evening session at the 'ring Tuesday... so... may head there depending on time, energy etc... Claire and Dave don't know this musing yet (I only re-read the thread and looked up the 'ring this evening), so don't tell 'em... they usually leave me navigating and follow blindly, so shouldn't notice if we're heading in the wrong direction;-)

Unlikely to take the car around, but just might be nice to go and have a look.

Other friends from Dorset region are staying in Dusseldorf, so may stay there on the Tuesday night.

Ok, Now we know Tref ![;)]
I know the road numbers too -
E40 from Dunkirk
E314 Leuven
A2 to Roermond
52 to Dusseldorf [:)]
Do you know the Dusseldorf hotel name ?

Anyone know which health insurance card is needed, used to be E111 and where to source it ? are the southern contingent staying in Dinslaken on the Tuesday evening ? are you doing our tour to include the Porsche factory visit.
Martin can you put Mike Moore down for the factory visit he is coming along shotgun with me.

Full steam ahead!!

I hope you do Steve, but I suppose it's down to how much time and help you have.

I knew you were doing the engine, but what was the need for more bodywork?

Alan.

Hi Alan, I had some paint blisters on the roof and rear wings which required all the white being redone. Whilst the engine was out and it was in the paint shop it made sense to do the engine bay as well. The car will be ready for the engine by the weekend. Engine still a week away but will only take a few days to get in once I have it. I plan on it being on the road by the 12th April, run in and geo'd the week after. Lets hope there are no gremlins lurking. I'll make sure my Euro breakdown cover is Gold standard!
