Cheers for the offer, but I seem to have lost my breaking streak (touchwood, and fingers crossed!). It did not really help that in that week, 3 company cars went up in smoke on me for various reasons. However, a word to all, NEVER buy a B6 Passat (2006-2010). I have had terrible cars in my time but none of them have been as unreliable or have got my fingers (well, wallet) as burnt as this example did. The 'Fix Or Repair Daily' cars before looked like miracles in comparison!ORIGINAL: Greg James I can pick up from train station.

Come on start thinking of jobs that need doing. Come rain or shine I will get my cars out and we have a nice dry garage to work in! Lets make this a regular thing to get our cars up to scratch and have a good time doing it in company not alone. Greg
I'm doing my best thinking! Snag is that the old girl is working remarkably well at the moment. However their is an annoying scraping/rubbing noise from the N/S/R wheel occasionally, and we could have a look at that. I echo the sentiment tho; come along with a load of jobs that need doing, and (if necessary) the parts needed to do them. We can crack on and make some good progress on as many cars as possible. I'm HUGELY looking forward to it. Thanks for hosting again Greg. Oli.ORIGINAL: Greg James Come on start thinking of jobs that need doing. I won't be able to be there before 1.30 - 2.00pm. I expect others will be starting well in advance of that ... I need to think of some jobs to do on my car between now and then. Hmmmm. It's running quite well at the mo! I do need to change the dashboard, but this is a bit more of a job than I'd want to tackle at a garage day. Oli.

Well I'm ok to be there mid morning - say 10.30-11.00. I don't think there's anything I need to do to mine but looking forward to catching up and meeting some new faces - Oli for example, or was it Steve? [
] I was going to bring my scope thing so can poke it down anyone's sills if they wish. It's not the best in the world and a mobile phone does a better overall job but this one will get very close up and around corners!

It is maybe not clear in my signature that the 944t cab and 996t cab are the only current cars. I will tell you the story about how the 928 was written off. Have to say if the 928 hadn't been cashed into then I would not even have the 944t. Like a 911 but handles if you grab it by the scruff of the neck; just like you think a 1.5 ton 6'6" wide 924 would handle with 320 gee gees, and a range of 350-360 miles on a tankfull unlike the stupid 15 gallon tank in the 911 which gives it a range of about 290 tops. I will still bring my real screwdrivers Oli. lol
taking my s2 back in tommorow with x3 new brake pad sensors ordered plus some other electric niggles to be sorted,, hope that jobs should not take along and i will nip over to the local cafe until finished,,, really hoping that they dont find anything else that will require futher time as have all my valeting stuff ready including that very good spray that keeps our back spoilers and other black bits looking good instead of fading plus autoglm hi-def wax for anyone that wants to use it for a bit of protection for the upcoming bad weather,,,,jasonp
