I've sold the S2.

Concerning the price of the S2, altogether its gone for about £7500, which considering I paid £4400 for it and put 50,000 miles on the clock I cant really complain. Edd

Sounds like you have got a good deal Edd, The one you are getting make better use of the boot space . I am going to hold out till the new M4's come down in price ! So around 2020 I might be able to afford one :) I watched the vid of your M135i up against the 911 Carrera with Tiff driving and it was a close call ? So if you tweak it up a little no doubt it will be a flying machine . Will it be Nürburgring in the near future ? Within the warranty period , give it plenty of stick , if anything breaks they have to replace it under warranty . Have fun and enjoy Edd

Dont know about near future, never been to the 'ring but really should make the effort one day, not sure if I want to risk £28k of car there though on first outing. Got to run the car in first, although there appears to be some contention over how this is best done too. Edd

Unless you're insured (and you won't be) I wouldn't risk driving on tourist days at the 'ring in anything other than a rental - rent4ring, rentracecar etc... The risk isn't the value of the car, it's the value of a multiple car / bike incident or worse. It's Ok on organised trackdays where the risks are lower but entry costs are higher.

Using this thread for a tenuous link - might be useful to Ed one day - who is good for BMW spares? I need a head gasket for an E34 5 series (for a friend overseas) and euro car parts haven't filled me with confidence I can get the right one from them! cheers, Tony
