IS there a pictures of your 944 thread ? Here's mine !

Thats the thumbnail, ending .th.jpg. You need to copy the properties of the full size picture when displayed in Photobucket (on a PC: right click and select properties then highlight the bit starting http: and ending .jpg and then copy it) or wherever, and then paste them with img in these[] before and [/img] at the end.

I cant make the full size picture display because the syntax is incorrect - with the others I cut out the rubbish and corrected the BB code, but theres something fundamentally wrong with the last link unfortunately.

My Turbo S came from the factory with one, i had a mate give me a replica one which i stuck on the 220 car to see what i thought of it, i liked it so bought an original from OPC as the price of them has dropped from £70 odd to £40 odd now.

I just might, but mine is white, and I'm thinking of going all out and fitting the full Martini scheme. At the end of the day it's only a few stickers so only a few minutes to remove if the embarrassment becomes too much!

Love the Rotisserie project Jonny. How did you remove the sound deadening material from under the car?

Yes, it was corner weighted during the wheel alignment - 1095kg with around half a tank of fuel (so ~1125kg DIN).

My inspiration came from the fine detail the factory apply to their 'specials'. I didn't want to take the car too far away from factory parts and a sensible specification for regular summer road use. Items like plastic windows, hatch and doors were not considered. The car still has carpets, headlining, four speaker stereo, stone chip protection around the wheel apetures and waxoil in the chassis channels. Further savings (~40kg) from a budget-free wish-list would include aluminium doors, torque tube and rear suspension cross-member (replacing the torsion-bar carrier).

GRP doors are quite a comittment thats true, but polycarbonate windows dont make as much of a difference day to day as you might expect. Side glass has virtually no impact and the hatch lets in a little more exhaust noise, but thats about it, in my experience.

It seems I'm allowed to post up a few pics of a 924 on a 944 forum which is great. The 924 area seems to be very quiet here, hence my time here with the 944 fraternity, a great bunch of people. My guess is the 924 lot are all on the Porsche 924 Owners Club forum?!
