Any Southerners fancy a meet up?

ORIGINAL: Ex Skyline
I guess you won't be in attendance Glenn, what with it being a Brighton meet, and that's a pity but,as someone said a couple of post's ago, "you can't please all the people...etc". There...Done[:D].

Indeed you can't and indeed I won't but my non-attendance has nothing to do with it being in Brighton; the 23rd is the Britcar 24 Hour race weekend at Silverstone and I've had tickets for several months so that's where I'll be. I hope you all enjoy the meet and perhaps the date will fall better for me next time. [:D]

Hey! That's great news guys! Quite a few of you can make it by all accounts. Should make for a very nice day[8D]. I so look forward to meeting some of you. Nice one. I'm chuffed to bits! Glenn, i hope you make the next one mate. Enjoy the Britcar 24hr [:)].

Ok, back from hols. Just thought i'd keep this one "alive and Kicking" [;)]. Hope all of you who showed an interest still feel that way. Looking forward to this meet immensely so, hope to see you all at Madeira Drive,Brighton on the 23rd September. [:)]
Pete

Would it not be better to pick a date when there is no other major Porsche meeting as there is on this date with the "911 & Porsche World Picnic"?

Just a thought. [:-]

Date has been debated in detail - happy sticking with the one that's been decided on. Thanks Pete for suggesting the meet. Looking forward to it.

Gutted, sorry but I can't make the 23rd now, I've got to work [:(]

If it wasn't for work chances are I wouldn't have been wise to risk a 250 mile round trip at the moment as both cars are acting up, and I've got no real time to sort them before then unfortunately.

Hope the weather is as good as it was for the Speed Trials last Saturday, it was a scorcher!

Ok Peter, that's a shame but never mind mate, your livelihood comes first and there's no point blowing your car up on the M25 when looking to have a nice day out[:(]. Hope you can make the next one[:)]

Ok, the day is drawing near. Next Sunday is "Meet Up" day down at Madeira Drive, Brighton. I thought around 09:30-10:00hrs for a cuppa and a chat (or earlier if anyone wants)and then off for a drive to Arundle or Eastbourne or anywhere else for that matter,we can always decide on the day and see what everyone fancies. Just wanted to bump this up to the top just as a reminder to evryone who is thinking of coming. My mobile number just in case anyone wants it is :-
07785-527782.
Pete

Sorry Pete but I'm going to have to bail on this now [:(] I missed my Mum's 65th 2 weeks ago having no choice but to be overseas with work, next weekend I'm stopping over to make up for it! [;)]

Hope you have a good meet, I would have enjoyed the road trip darn sarf!

Hi Pete, still up for this and looking forward to it. Is there a specific place to park/meet? Pref somewhere near good coffee :)

Hi Craig, just turn into Madeira Drive (this is the BOTTOM road alongside the beach), drive past the big wheel and you will see a row of shops, cafe's a pub etc. My mate Brian has the last cafe in the parade called, interestingly, "The Madeira Cafe"!
I will be hanging around near there. I am a fat bloke that just about manages to sqeeze into a Black 944 Turbo. I have no hair. I will be wearing a red Carnation and i shall be carrying a copy of the Times under my right arm. See y'all there!
Pete.

Awesome description, squire! Not the sort of thing I expect someone called "Ex Skyline" to look like at all! [:D]

Oli.

I've tried everything, but have to work so will miss both this and the Kop Hill event I was planning to do on the Saturday. Please send me a little write-up and a few pics, and I'll stick it in Porsche Post. It's always good to show events that are organised through the forum, in the hope we get the other 944 owners to venture online. [:)]
