Hi Andrew,
I remember seeing this car at the Bromley Motor show a couple of years back,2011,jaw droplingly awesome.
It looked excellent condition and I spoke to the owner for a while about how it drove.
Am sure have a few pics of it in the collection will post.
Would like to know how the crash damage occurred is the chassis ok?
Speedline wheels look the best, wider on the rear!
The best place to get parts if good quality and cheap is good ole USA
the web site is www.carpartsdiscount.com.
There shipping is cheap as well and they do most Porsche cars.

so with work beginning at some point this week and currently under the influence of a healthy dose of man flu I decided to dig around in the cars history file............

- Current mileage is 58,000 miles. Mileage appears genuine given service history and documentation with the car
- Last MOT (sept 2012) "" no advisories 7 previous owners. I am the 8th owner
- The 6th owner purchased the car in 2005 and held it until 2012. Maintained by himself. Always garaged . Some receipts in the file but service book wasn't stamped or kept up to date which is a shame
- The 5th owner purchased the vehicle in 1996. So he held it for 9 years. So two owners have held the car for the majority of the last 16 years
- Some sales information from when the 6th owner purchased the car from Northway in 2005. Car was advertised for £16,995 with the following description; "speed yellow with full dark leather interior showing 50k miles, sports seats, sunroof, 17 inch OZ wheels, been in storage for last 4 years, lots of bills, in lovely condition, many mods including 5 speed box etc"¦"¦"
- GT Purely Porsche also featured the car in its Sept 2004 issue in the "How about" section. The article was called "How about A"¦"¦"¦"¦"¦"¦Turbo?" "" the feature was on three 911 turbos for sale at Northway at the time. This 930, a 964 T2 and a LHD 993 T (Ray Northways own car at the time).
In reference to the 930 the article broke down as follows;

1986 911 Turbo "" Whats it like?

- This car's had things done to it, but that doesn't detract from the appeal because all the mods have a beneficial result. Like the fact that it was originally white instead of this vibrant yellow, and the archaic, unreliable and horribly sloppy 915 four-speed gearbox had been switched for a later G50 version with hydraulic clutch (involving a complex re-jig of the suspension carrier). The reasonably new Oz alloy wheels look good as well

Whats it like to drive?

- The five gears make the lag less noticeable, but theres no getting away from the steering feeling heavy and you need both feet to stop it. Of course the interior looks antiquated, but some may see this as part of its charm

Why should you buy this car?

As an entry to Turbo ownership you could do a lot worse and the Speed Yellow paint has been applied very well indeed. There's a whole wad of bills in an A4 binder too if you are short of bedtime reading. If you like the impact bumper looks and want a 911 Turbo for the price of a Focus, go for it

NB: Interesting to see the asking prices back in late 2004 of £24,995 for the 964 T2 (assume that's the 3.6ltr?) and the 993 Turbo @ £35k

Other supporting documentation:

- Extensive bills/receipts from maintenance carried out by the 6th owner
- Bills / receipts covering a number of expensive items over his 9 years of ownership:
- 2004 - £2k on some paintwork and new trim items
- 2003 "" £2k Autofarm remove engine for oil leak attention
- 2002 "" £3.5k Oz wheels
- 2002 "" £2.5k Autofarm full service and attention after 4 years storage
- 2002 - £4.8k Autofarm climate controlled air bubble for the 4 years storage

Service history in the maintenance record booklet:

- Europorscha London "" 14/2/87 "" 1,170 miles
- Europorscha London "" 15/1/88 "" 7,280 miles
- Jaz London "" 30/4/92 "" 22,604 miles
- Northway Porsche "" 12/6/94 "" 30,018 miles
- Northway Porsche "" 17/6/95 "" 33,846 miles
- Northway Porsche "" 31/1/97 "" 39,562 miles
- Northway Porsche "" 20/2/98 "" 44,188 miles
- Northway Porsche "" 17/7/02 "" 46,311 miles

Andrew,
Interesting research and enjoyable read, this one really has been looked after
especially by the sixth owner it seems that it has really helped with the car being garaged for the seven years as we seem to have some tough winters recently!
When attending this Bromley show I saw your car twice and was very impressed with the overall look it was not entered in any competitions,ie the
concours etc,but had a great presence, along with Heathview's 2002 Boxster S,and a very nice 550 Spyder replica these were voted my best three at the time, some different driving experiences I imagine!
At the moment have only sampled one with my S!well it's great.
The 930 has a special place in my heart, and was fortunate
the other day to see a red slant nose turbo near Brands Hatch, very surprising and not sure if this car is on the forum!
Am hoping your car is further up the Porsche queue,to be revitalised,
really they should give this one priority, for me I think I would be calling in every week or so,maybe that's too annoying but the car deserves it!

so parts list is ready. Will order from OPC tommorrow. Need a new front bumper but will source that second hand as there seem to be a few on ebay etc for £50-75.......new from OPC.........£750!!!!! haha.........I dont think so. Rest of parts were pretty reasonable. Existing bonnet was fine and could be saved
