For many the highlight of the day was the parade lap of the Silverstone circuit with transaxles and Boxsters out in force celebrating their anniversaries. Jürgen Barth took the driver’s seat in the recently restored 924 Carrera GTP race car.
The many teams at Porsche GB have lovingly restored the car which raced at the 1980 24 Hours of Le Mans and had been languishing at the museum. On the track the racing continued through the day and into the evening as the sun set.
