The London Region (R20) is just that, a region which focuses on members who live, work, or just love London. We are one of the largest and most active regions. We use London and 'invade' the best of the surrounding countryside for our playground.
With a territory as broad as London we hold two monthly meets, a West London meet at the iconic Ace Cafe and an East London meet, known as 'Out East'. Our meets are casual and encourage members to enjoy their Porsche and each other’s company.
We like to drive our Porsches, so many of our events through the year involve driving. We like flowing B roads which allow you to appreciate your Porsche's performance. We alternate between ‘R20 Escapes’ which give a couple of hours driving on some of the most stunning roads in and around the region, and our ‘R20 on Tour’ which are shorter drives when the evenings are longer.
One of our most popular drives is known as 'London Landmarks', which takes a figure of eight course past over 40 of London’s most iconic buildings, as the sun rises, just in time for breakfast. Our events are popular, so signing up in advance is essential.
We arrange longer trips away. With Spring and Autumn breaks focusing on great roads, great company, and great locations. We have been to Zeeland, Bruges, Honfleur, Montreuil-sur-mer, Luxembourg, Devon, and the Peak District. We have a large contingent which attend the 24 Heures du Mans, and Le Mans Classic. In 2014 and 2017 we organised a longer trip to Switzerland as an excuse to drive some of the very best alpine passes and to visit the Porsche museum.
As the evenings get darker and the weather turns inclement we host some more social events, once again highlighting London and all it has to offer.
We recognise that in today’s world you like to feel connected, so we maintain Facebook and Instagram pages, and a Twitter feed. So, if you want to know what interesting Porsches have turned up at Ace Cafe, or how much parking is left 'Out East', follow us.
See you out on the road - Nick & Ed
