The Surrey Region (R29) has the majority of its members living in the county of Surrey, with others living in Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex and the London area. We are a friendly and active region with a programme of events covering a broad range of interests. Members in our region drive all kinds of Porsches, including classic and modern 911s, Boxsters and all versions of the front-engined cars.
Our region has some great driving roads, heritage locations and the glorious scenery of the Surrey Hills, not to mention country pubs and vineyards. Our area is also home to the historic Brooklands Museum, the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. Our organised events take in the local area as well as venturing further afield to take advantage of all that is on offer between London and the South coast. Porsche Centre Guildford is close by, as are a number of other reputable independent Porsche specialists.
We currently meet on the second Tuesday of each month at Inn On The Lake, Silvermere Golf Complex, a great location on the road from the A3 Cobham exit going towards Byfleet. Generally, our monthly get-together begins around 20:00, although some members start the evening with a meal or bar snack around 19:00. We have good support from our partners, who seem to like the informality of the evening, and topics range from chat about anything in general and Porsches in particular, to planning events and trips out, exchanging technical advice and general Club business. Our varied programme throughout the year includes pub lunches, the annual WOTY, drives out, car events and visits to interesting places.
