I would not mind entering my 944 in the concours, is it an easy process?

Paul
If you PM Greg and Deb, they'll sort you out.

Cheers

The process for entering is pretty straightforward- the process for winning is somewhat more difficult :)

Sorry for the delay in posting on the forum, I believe the medical term is post Silverstone blues. Great to have all you new members posting for the first time. As you can see by the responses already from our region's club members we are a friendly bunch here in the North East. Our meetings are still held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Dun Cow Bournmoor DH4 6DY and start at 8.00pm although we have lots of members who like to come early just for the craic. We would love to see you all at our regional show at Witton on the 14/08/16 show starts from 10.00am and its free. If you would like to show in our concours competion please drop me an email at R3@porscheclubgb.com all we require is a few details, name, vehicle details with reg, mileage & club membership number please.

I will be driving for an hour to get there for the concours, what is the earliest I can get in and when does judging begin.
Obviously the car will be dirty from the hours drive when I get there !!!

Some of us will be starting to set up from 8.00am. Show starts at 10.00 so your welcome to come early if you want to make a start on your car.

Having judged the interiors on the regional concours before - my advice would be to arrive early and clean the car again on site. I have heard of cling film and blue 3M painter's tape being used before now too!!!

The regional concours is judged to the club's standard concours scoring sheet for fairness and equality so it would be worth getting a copy of that - perhaps Greg could email it to you if you send him your details?

It's a slippery slope though - you'll be waxing your spare wheel, dressing your pedal rubbers and cleaning the grass from your tyre treads before you know it - and no, I'm not joking! :)

You've cleaned your car more times this month than I've driven mine!!!

Hi Richard, yes places still available do you wish to show in the concours. Which region are you.
Best wishes Greg.

Heading up in convoy with a group from R7 to join you all at the Castle for our first time - looking forward to it!..

yet another fantastic day at Witton Castle! Huge thanks to Greg and Deb for organising such a super event, not an easy task as we all know. Lovely to see so many old friends and new faces as well, particularly Chris from Porsche club. Here's to next year!

Thanks for a great day & pleased to see my 944 get top honours in the concours, now that was a surprise, great to meet you all.

Paul

Brilliant day at the R3 annual show - well done to all the concours competitors. Many thanks to Greg and Deb for all their hard work and Wendy and Julie for tasty cakes and cookies!
