When I rejoined PCGB after a few years absence, this being my fifth Porsche, I did so looking forward to enjoying my 944 with like minded people, getting out to as many shows as I can throughout the Summer and basically having the car and club as an escapism from the normal turmoil of life. There are threads appearing now that make me wonder if I did the right thing coming back into Porsche ownership as there seems to be more and more disgruntled contributors each day.
We all have things in our life that we carry with us, I retired from work six years ago at the age of 39 with two separate chronic illness's, each of which could see me off any day, I have two kids and a mortgage, my 944 is my passion and takes my mind off everything else.
I have made many good friends across the classic car scene in my twenty odd years restoring , showing and judging at car shows across the country. You will always run into people who's views and opinions differ whether it be face to face or on forums, but ...and it's a big but, the good always outweighs the bad.
So please, let's go back to basics and remember why we joined the club and enjoy our 944's, here's a few pics of mine as I know we all love pics and I look forward to meeting people throughout the year.
All the best, Paul
