Anyone care to suggest which OPC or Specialist Dealer is tops for sales or service in the South West?

i have used porsche centre exeter a couple of times - no complaints but sufficiently pricey when running an older/cheaper porsche as to be economically unviable. for the last 5 years ive been taking the P&J to Crispin Manners at Oaktree Garage, Newton Poppleford,, on the outskirts of Sidmouth nr Exeter. He has a very long history of servicing/racing/hillclimbing and what he doesnt know about Porsches is not worth mentioning. He plays honest and fair, doesnt do work unless it needs doing, and is thorough. The garage is a little ramshackle but dont be put off. he knows his onions.

There is also Andy Moss at Honiton - independent, ex-porsche trained Mechanic - very good.

Based at Honiton.
if you e-mail me off list I'm happy to send you his mobile number.

I'm happy to email anyone details of who I'd recommend in the South West, but see a previous thread on the forum under South West .

There are independents in North Devon, Martin Reed, Mid/East Devon, Andy Moss, East Devon, Crispin Manners, all of these have a good reputation, some are more cost effective than others but all will be cheaper than the OPC and do more for your quid. Personally, I use Andy Moss and have been exceptionally pleased, especially as I'm a fussy git!! There is a new independent in Cornwall called Jordan Engineering but know nothing about them other than they do non-Porsche as well, hope that helps, Andy.

Thanks for the info. Andy is a good guy. He used to look after my 911 when he was at Carrs in Exeter. Do you have a contact number for him please?

All the contacts for all specialists in the SW are available in a separate posting within the R15 - South West Forum under Regions. Look for 'Porsche Specialists in the South West'.
