I haven't seen the weekly yet, but there are 3 cars I know of in these colours. Mine, a fellow 924 owners club member and one for sale at Pie Performance. The fellow members car was shot for Practical Performance Car approx 18-24 months ago for a 924 turbo feature. These shots have found there way into a publication or two. EDIT: I have now seen the article. It is the other car mentioned above. Not a bad review of the 924, its now 'officially' a classic [ORIGINAL: pixie*porsche Carrera - is your car in this weeks edition of Classic Car Weekly? Surely there can't be two of them liveried in British Railways "blood and custard"? [
] However how 'appreciating' it is I am not so sure. Many of the wider classic car buyers still turn their nose us at these cars. Never mention the engine originated in an Audi saloon before both, and its only the block casting that is shared with an LT, nowt else!!
It's impossible to please everyone when you write forum rules and try to administer them. I don't think many people here want this forum to have a "name and shame" area, or encourage that sort of post. In fact other forums are cracking down on it as it's open to abuse, and what's the point of a long list of complaints? Not exactly interesting reading. The majority of users of this forum, both members and guests, say they would rather it was kept more moderated than other forums and not allowed to become just another place for shouty people to gang up together; there are plenty of other forums people can go to for that. Without knowing the words removed from Pixie's post it's hard to know what context it was edited in, but of course if you don't like it there is always the option to appeal it, so I can't see any purpose in complaining on the forum. Can we just get back to not running individuals or businesses down for the small percentage of their transactions that go wrong? If there's a particular problem then why not speak to the owner of the business, or go through the Club as we do have regular contact with many of the traders and it's easy to pass on questions or complaints, and give them a chance to put it right.

] I've never actually driven a 924 and would be interested in having a go. Not sure a 924S would be any different to drive than the early 944 I have but the 2.0 litre and the turbo I'm sure would be different. I considered a 924 turbo when I bought my current 944 but decided it wasn't for me - not really a fan of the power delivery of a turbo car can certainly appreciate them for others though. [] When we're talking "wider" classic car buyers, I don't think Porsches in general seem to be on a high priority, the "wider classic car buyers" tend to go British IMO. Jon and I buy and sell classics as a hobby and nearly all our cars are MGB's (be that roadsters, GTs or factory GT V8s). We deal nearly always with MGs as they are easy to get bits for and very loved by alsorts of people! German stuff IMO as far as classics go is being different!
