Thanks Paul...no problem with speed bumps, I love her stance, very purposeful, looks like she's doing a ton even when stationary....Looks good Pete. Considering it's still on 16" wheels it seems quite low, does it get over speed humps ok?

No change in colour Paul...still silver..What colour did you have them done Pete, I reckon gold often looks good on a red car.

Today the old girl was fitted with a new set of boots. This time around I went for Goodyear Efficient grip Performance 2's. It's getting harder to find Y rated tyres for both sizes but these will do nicely. Yes I know the car is rated for V's and even if the car can achieve the speed to require a Y I'm unlikely to drive that fast again. But it is a nice feeling having complete trust in one's tyres on twisty fast roads..Anyway, I took them down to my son's for fitting along with a new set of metal valves. The good news is that I asked him if he could remove the signs of corrosion from around the valves and touch in with some silver wheel spray. He did better than that, handed all 4 wheels to his business partner who does all body and paintwork to ask him what he could do. He only went and fully refurbed the wheels for me...no charge...

Interesting Pete, what size were those? I just did a search on Asda Tyres and for the rear there is 3 tyres available in the size for the late turbos (245/45 R16) Yokohama, Nankang, and Pirelli. I'm probably going to keep my 16s but will get a set of 17 or 18s for daily use with some Michelin Pilot Sport 4.
