wanted radiator

hi,
anybody in the essex area have a good second hand radiator they would like to sell ?

To add to this, I've just pulled mine and am going to replace it.

Anyone got a good used one before I consider the hefty sum for a new one?
 
Fan switch mount threaded section has moved slightly and when the switch has been tightened up the plastic has started to crack.

Probably be ok but may as well sort it now rather than it bite me on the ass in time to come.

When I spoke to my recorer he said it was very hit and miss. The plastic tanks can go brittle with age, and make recoring them a chore.

That and the fact that he (and others) could not match the price I paid for a new item outright (A couple of years ago I paid £215 for a 951 radiator

One thing I shall say is that once I bled mine properly, it stayed very cool with a genuine Porsche thermostat (the pattern first Line one couldn't stay straight: I thought it was a one off until I chucked one into a Spitfire 1500 recently, it stayed far too cool for an 82 degree thermostat).
 
Going to speak to the local radiator place tomorrow to see if they can repair the crack, otherwise they sell a new one for £202.31. I've been offered a good used one but depending on price I may just bite the bullet on a new one.

If it lasts another 25 years or my ham-fisted installation then that's all ok by me :)
 
I collect my new one tomorrow.

Figured if a Stage 2 is next on the cards and a Germany trip planned for July then I'd be better off with a shiny new one.
 
I agree, I thought I commented that itd have to be virtually new and well under £100 (more like £50) to consider used over new, for me.
 
i have a new and unused genuine porsche 944 turbo radiator, new old stock, mint condition. will fit non turbos aswell

Just had a look at my new radiator - someone has made a very half-arsed attempt to grind the word "Porsche" and the Porsche part numbers off the radiator. Given the OPC price compared to what I paid, I'm a happy bunny :)
