Cant they be rebuilt if the end tanks are good?
When I spoke to my recorer he said it was very hit and miss. The plastic tanks can go brittle with age, and make recoring them a chore.
That and the fact that he (and others) could not match the price I paid for a new item outright (A couple of years ago I paid £215 for a 951 radiator
One thing I shall say is that once I bled mine properly, it stayed very cool with a genuine Porsche thermostat (the pattern first Line one couldn't stay straight: I thought it was a one off until I chucked one into a Spitfire 1500 recently, it stayed far too cool for an 82 degree thermostat).
