Virtual Concours 2020 - That picture of Bomber

So for my own entry, I am going to try and reproduce that picture of Bomber:

I have several 944 kits and models around - all kits unbuilt of course, that I can put dents in... I don't, however, have a 962 - guessing that should be easy to find - but the correct livery - not so likely. Then there is the trailer.

Most of the 962's Kenwood livery is hidden, which should make it "easier"
Not decided on a theme for my attempt yet.
For those not sure what's going on here: The object is to recreate a scene from a picture of a past event or anything Porsche related. Then submit both for our judging. Closing date to be advised but probably our August 20 monthly meet.

If not I'm sure London can find a photo of a car belonging to a previous poster who seems to spend more time attending our events than some of our local members. []

Looks clean in the picture above... Must just be that horrid poluted London air on the 140miles I invariably cover on the way to your meetings that makes Bomber dirty usually!

See really Nick, some posts are better left unposted... Now of course I am going to lay down the Gauntlet. This is an opportunity for you to participate in a Dorset event without having to worry about getting your car dirty. I know you have many, many photos you could reproduce in model form - how about Ace Cafe on a busy night? I reckon fifty cars and you won't be able to tell the difference!

(although think that is normally the written word)... Misrepresenting? No, wait, it couldn't be... Cheating?!??????. Entry accepted, and we'll let the judges decide??

Yes, just printed the original background on 2 sheets of A4 just to achieve a quick result.

Sorry Nick I missed that bit.. Hadn't thought of Regional entries, but why not? The more the merrier! The idea isn't just as a photographic competiton though (see the other thread in the Dorset section of the forum) as not all of us are brilliant photographers. Being creative with the camera, absolutely! Still, the good news is now we can look forward to entries from you, Ed, and London Region! Fantastic! Surely you can convert that Orange Lego GT3 into a Tango Boxster Nick?

re: Tango you should be aware that I possess a custom scalextric version of this car so that's too easy. I will dig around though as I have several other photos all with model cars such as (a teaser, not an entry) You get the idea, it was taken as in instagram moment (to be viewed diagonally):

Hi guys

Tref remembered that I have a model of my 951 and so to show willing and join in the fun here's a photo of it. This was taken many years ago and was never finished, today it needs a little TLC after one of my grandchildren decided to go 'vroom, vroom' with it.. IIRC it's a Hasegawa 1/24 kit, it's converted to RHD and when I left it I was busy making new parts for the engine. If I wasn't so busy with my other model I could be tempted to engineer a much larger scale version, you only have one life though and alas I think mine is already fully booked...

Already constructed my back scene so now waiting on deliveries of materials for the foreground elements.
