Looks good.....SCOM appear to have an International clientele, doubt it will stay in the UK?

Chris, would be interested in the big figure, please email if you prefer not to post.
Cheers.

They also have a 964 RS Clubsport listed as 'due in soon'....couldnt be a certain Maritime car could it? Surely not!!! []

Not the "other" minty one then?

I remember Chris asking questions last year about Carrera GT ownership. Maybe a few too many questions... [;)]

I remember when it was up for sale last. Bet there's some 0's on the end of the price now if its at SCOM [;)]

Wow that was quick ...

Just time for a change.

In a sense, mission accomplished.

The car is a far better car now than it was when I bought it ...

And, at least now everybody knows what it is.

I'm sure the history can be fleshed out even more, but there is no longer any question of the development Logbook belonging to the car (rather than an aberration of Porsche forgetfulness which may have been reclaimed) --- and it being original panels etc --- it was a very big risk to take it even sedately around track days.

And I now own the learning that I have gained over the ownership experience --- it's time for somebody else to have that same pleasure [:)]

having just sounded off (on another thread) about RHD cars and all the unnecessary fuss etc, I have just looked at this red development car and want it!

Some of you seem to know a lot more of the history and on a personal level I suspect - could you advise?

many thanks............

Get Chris to talk to you about the car, go back to the early days when Tony Hatter and chris you to sit in the back of the games coach together .....[:(]

Quick...But rare and quality cars don't seem to hang around for long in this market!

Chris, is it off to Singapore/H.K. or staying in the Uk?

I believe that it will be with a UK enthusiast ... happy days [;)]

But I am sure that he will announce himself when the dust has settled.

It took me four years to find the last piece of my puzzle ....

The explanation as to why Porsche would ever have allowed the development Drivers Log out of Weissach.

And the proof that the Drivers Log was sold with the car, and now legitimately belongs with it.

In the wrong hands in 1996, this could have been dynamite.

But now somebody elses story to tell [;)]

Well, after a serious rush of blood to my wallet (or should that be from?), I am now the owner of Chris's development car and if the weather ever improves it will come and join it's black lhd stablemate 'down south'.
Fred Hampton (who purchased the car from Stuttgart) thought it the earliest chassis number he had come across in either RHD or LHD and who am I to say he's wrong? The car was road registered 4 months before the public launch.
Awesome car with amazing back up documentation (many thanks Chris for all that hard work and hope that that you spend the outrageous funds wisely!!).
I'm a lucky guy. in addition to the LHD RS, I also have a '66 SWB (historic rally spec), a '72 S, an '87 3.2 and I drive them all.
I'm racing a Caterham again this season but obviously will have to race a Porsche next year!
I hope to introduce myself at some PCGB event soon.
