For everyone on the list above, who've volunteered to help out with marshaling duties on the Cotswold Rally this weekend, we'll be holding a briefing at Cornbury House at 08:00 beforehand. If anyone wishes to go directly to the destination (near Banbury) rather than travel to Moreton-in-Marsh, please let us know asap so we can assign duties and sort out marshals' passes for you. Similarly, if you any preference for any particular role/duty please also let us know in advance. Thanks.

Hi Alan

Looking forward to the weekend and looks like you have ordered the good weather as well!

If possible I would like to do the traffic controlling the cars entering from the main road and those leaving the start - same as last year.

See you Sunday

Thanks

Dave

Is everyone on the list above (apart from those who've advised us otherwise) still OK to help out on Sunday?

Just to say a big thank you to you all for supporting today. It went faultlessly as far as we were concerned. Great route and excellent venue to finish. The pork rolls and salad were a pleasant surprise

please thank the girl handing out tea and coffee at Cornbury House, she managed all morning and still had a smile on her face

once again great event in no doubt due to the effort you guys and girls put in, thanks from all who attended

Totally concur with the above post...Congratulations to all concerned and many thanks for creating a perfect day that was superbly organised and supported...Brilliant!!!

And at risk of hijacking, the 'marshall' thread of the Rally, I also concur. Although not my first PCGB, or R31 event, it was my first Rally and also the first proper event I'd been able to get Erica to attend. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, and the food and final location was a nice surprise. Good route, great weather, good spread, lovely cars and brilliant people and organisation. Well done all involved, for your hard work on the day an obvious preparation.

Really nice to see a number of familiar faces too, it's good to get to know everyone a little better each time. And hello again to those I met for the first time

Thanks again, and see you next year :)

We just wanted to express our sincere thanks to all you kind R31 folks for selflessly volunteering your time to plan, prepare, administer, marshal, guide and otherwise help those taking part and ensuring this year’s Cotswold Rally was a success (all the positive feedback received from members at Broughton confirmed this). Take a bow boys and girls; you’re a class act. We salute you all.

On behalf of the Cotswold Marshals Team, very many thanks for the kind comments above about your experiences of today’s rally. It’s always pleasing to receive feedback, none more so than when it’s so positive. We’re aware that there were a few niggles, fortunately not significant ones, but we’ll be able to factor these into our planning for next year. A big thanks to all the members who took part and supported the Rally. It makes all the hard work and many hours that go into the preparations and on the day worthwhile. Hope you’ll make it again next year.
