Swapping exhaust...

Yes they are. A friend to hold the exhaust in position would be very useful. Put the final silencer on first and then the silencer which will replace your Cup pipe. When everything is in place, secure it and make sure it sits correctly using the support straps (which I assume you still have?), which fit around the main silencer i.e. not the final silencer!!!

The bumper part you need can still be purchased from Porsche for about £300 including the VAT (but you may be able to get some discount on that price). To remove the old bumper part and replace it with the new part you'll need to remove the whole bumper. You'll probably also need a new internal heat shield.

Yes, but you don´t have to polish the bumper´s inside. Although you can, of course.

I would assemble all the parts for conversion so that when you sell it as a concours car, the new owner can convert it back if they wish...unless you are selling yourself soon?
Martin - thanks for the offer of help. I won't be doing the exhaust this weekend but might take you up on the offer of an extra pair of hands when I do get round to it. I'll make sure the kettle's on and we have plenty of biscuits (or cold beer).

Tragically, needs must. Mines sound lovely with the cup pipe, but useless on trackdays, now a fair bit heavier and stifled in the sound dept.
Curious, there are no PCGB track days listed for late June and why would you fit new brakes before, when you know you are going to kill 'em !
Rich, be careful, for some unknown reason that car has tended to end up facing the way it came when it gets near a track.
