Strange days.....and future values?

....and a £12K Lux on Crackheads....

Look away Paul Smith and Oli....[;)]

I have no problem with that on the face of it? [8|]

The same car could have been stuck up for £4K a few years ago and someone would have said it was over-priced.

Assuming no new ones are being built, you have to look for the best of the remaining cars. If you really want one, then you might well have to pay that price for that car. It's not about values, that's what we discuss when we need insurance policies. It's about rarity.

Assuming the advert is 100% correct, I don't think there are any other run-out 944 Luxes with that colour and mileage on the market?

We still fail to understand the difference between the cost of buying a 944 and owning one. I can easily see the cost of restoring one being £10K or more, if what you're looking for is a garage-queen, concours car. If you want a 944 to keep as a low-miles car in storage, this might be worth looking at: Soon there won't be many that haven't been driven to death by people who like driving, but collectors look for things like rarity and mileage first.

It's beyond me, as I can't see the point of owning something so rare and valuable I couldn't enjoy it, but I will stick my neck out and say that a 2.7 with under 50K miles, in exceptional condition, should be a £10K-plus car?

There is always a place for exceptional condition low mileage cars, and as the years go by they will get increasingly rare and dare I say it valuable. Very tempted myself to sink some money into a low mileage best condition I can find E39 M5, always wanted one a future classic and almost impossible to find now in box fresh condition, its hard to believe but it already seems to be happening with the E36 M3.

It was originally up for £14K a week or so ago. It will be interesting to see if it sells.

I'm afraid 944 prices won't take off until I sell mine.

If past history is anything to go by, about 3 or 4 weeks after I sell a classic, prices for that make & model and anything else I fancy head skywards...
