Some Advice Please Guys & Gals, with this COVID19 and we cant drive

....and the chances of catching a virus whilst driving are infinitely small. Unlike when some of us go to work []

I'm sure I'm going to wake up and this is going to be a dream in which Ricky Jervais is running the country and John Cleese is running the USA.....

Brian, what are house prices like in the Highlands?

… increasing dramatically and they`re installing the old Severn Bridge toll booths at the border, we`re not for sharing :ROFLMAO:

Given that `we` are on a later `peak cycle` than down South, Nicola is doing the right thing …

Apparently: 'Driving trips not limited, provided rules observed' according to Raab quoted on the BBC News.

There are no specific limits on distances drivers can travel within one of the UK nations under the new rules, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has said.

"You can drive as far as you want to, for example to walk in a park or particular area you're fond of, as long as you maintain the social distancing," he tells BBC Breakfast.

"But obviously if you're going from one part of the UK to another - from England to Wales or Scotland to Wales - different rules are in place because the devolved governments take a different approach."

Perhaps someone needs to politely ask some local councils to remove the concrete blocks on some approach roads to the parks.

Btw, Have I missed a secret tunnel between Scotland and Wales ? [8|]

I am sure that the ACPO will issue revised guidelines (which may or may not seem to contradict Boris)

Yes that's my understanding too Twinfan. I'm also assuming this is why the new rules will not actually apply until Wednesday (despite Boris' "get back to work tomorrow" rhetoric in his speech yesterday!) as it will give them time to update the SI. Hopefully there will be more detail in the Parliamentary statement and documentation this afternoon.

Yep, I agree. Time is needed to process the changes in the SI. The 50 page document has just been published so info will start to creep out from now. Boris is answering questions on it at 7pm tonight.

"People can now drive as far as they want to exercise."

Awesome, once the SI has been updated I can crack on with getting the GT4 run-in [:D]

Just need the law to be updated now though, a guidance document isn't the law...

Soon .... soon .... my GT4 is sensing a change !

And with the petrol price so low it's going to be a tough [:)]
