Silverstone track evening 2012

I've had a tip off that there could be a track evening on Monday July the 30th. I'm waiting for more details to come through but thought I'd pop this topic up straight away to gauge interest.

I was at RPM today and during a chat with Darren we lamented the apparent lack of Silverstone evenings this year, so he got in contact with Melindi who mentioned that date was possible, so quite likely there will be the RPM team in attendance too. I should hopefully know a bit more soon.

Might see if I can hire RPM's race 944 for a tank round. Haven't driven any frontrunner on track before.

I'm in - I've been checking the Goldtrack website every few days for signs of an evening event. They are running a daytime trackday that day, so it sounds highly likely.

Sadly I am due to be working away, the only benefit of my non existent progress on the coupe is the fact I can take it out on track!

I've just realised that this date is my daughter's 16th birthday! I think that makes it slightly tricky to come along (unless I bring her too [] )

That won't count as an excuse.

I've either just been bad recently, just been cought being bad again, or just about to be bad but I'll be there if it comes off []

Be good to get together again - and I need some education!

I have been checking the Goldtrack site and the evening is now there - open pit lane £179.

Only snag is it's noise limited to 93db drive by [&o]

ETA - correction - its 90db drive by plus 93db static. []

93dB static is really really low. This is going to get the backs up of a lot of ppl, for a start I don't think any air cooled 911s will be out. My last 4 noise tests have all been around 88-89dB so an S2 is likely fine.
