A spare set of specs if you wear them, legal requirement in France. I’ve never been asked but….

Road trip prep - what have I forgotten?

We are doing a similar trip to Nice in a few weeks time. Would be good to hear how your route works out. Last year we found France no longer requires you to have a breathalyser (good as ours were out of date). The tax disc holder for CritAir is a good idea. As an alternative I use ‘Sticker Shield’ a peel off and re-use sheet that you cut to size. Made in USA and bought from Amazon. Also worth taking a couple of copies of the motor vehicle accident form (available from AA website and others). Need ‘UK’ oval badge on back unless your number plate includes this. Also can you switch your headlights over or do you need to mask them for driving on rhs of road? You are supposed the be able to pre-enter details for the EES up to 3 days before travelling and I thought we would give it a go. Wishing you a great trip.

We're travelling last week of May. Car's going in for a service and a check over next week so fingers crossed they don't find any showstoppers. Or nothing that means I have to remortgage the house, at least.
