Register roll call

Hi,
I bought my 968 Club sport last year, reg L224 NSC
It was converted to a race car in 2007 and is now being raced in the AMOC Intermarque

Hi Martynb,
Did you race your car last year in the AMOC, I might have a few pics of it if you did, I was at the last race of the year at Silverstone?
Cheers Richard

Yes, Silverstone was a shake down drive ready for the coming season.
White 968 #144, any pictures would be great (much better than the gravel I ended the race in)

Thanks Chris the 968 forum is on the 'to do' list, very focused and informative, my car was advertised there and on Pistonheads. For reference of any owners in the Bath/Bristol area Cameron Sports Cars (2 miles from J18 of the M4) have just completed a major service (including belt changes) and the technicians proved to be very helpful and knowledgable given that the car is way from standard!

Welcome Ian, from another 93 cab owner! roughly where in UK are you, I'm near Ashford Kent, know of 2 other cabs close by and a third in North Kent. Have you found the porsche968uk forum? It's a very useful source of info for 968 owners.

968 Cabriolet Tiptronic, 1993, no mods, 93K, Tahoe Blue, light grey navy-piped interior with cobalt dash and trim. Owned for for 14 years. Thanks Chris.

Would love to see photos of the light grey interior to compare to my full leather cobalt blue with sports seats (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B3FX3V_kb7JvZDk1MmE4OWMtY2RhNy00Njc1LWEzNWEtNDJmZGQ0ZmI3OGZh?usp=sharing). Out of interest, do you have a CoA giving build completion date, as although mine was not registered until mid 1993, build completion was Aug 92, I have no explanation from Porsche for the wait except that there was a recession in UK. I believe mine was in Porsche Guildford for some or all of the unexplained time.

Where (roughly) in UK are you, a photo of 2 Tahoe tip cabs side by side would be a very rare animal!! I'm in East Kent between Ashford and Tenterden.

Hello Chris, many thanks for your reply. Mine was manufactured in about August 1992 and registered in February 1993. I have no idea where it was in between! I have attempted to upload a couple of pix of the inside on here, but failed. It would be lovely to have a picture with the two on, but mine is currently SORN'd and I've got to put it back on the road for the summer (nothing wrong, just winterised). I'll let you know when she's back on the road. Like you, I didn't think another Tahoe Blue one existed any more! I did the laps of honour in 2007 at Silverstone where there were 66 968's so I imagine you might have been there on that day too. Lovely cars, much under-rated, and pretty with it too!

Hi Pamela,
hope you are well.
Is yours the one up on the left in the first image.
Hard to believe that was 11 years ago.

As you're a PCGB member, get a CoA from PCGB (application form available to download on the main website), that will give you the build completion date and original options - useful, but takes a while to arrive after you apply (but at least it's free, for PCGB members!). I don't SORN mine just in case herself is away in the shopping trolley and something happens - but she's been tucked up in her garage since mid December!

I use mine all year round, been out in it today.

was out all weekend in it and Monday as well, Stays taxed and insured all year.

done 14k miles in it in 4 years, that's with having 3 other cars to use

Tin roof and all round vision rather than canvas roof and rear 1/4 blind spots makes a difference Martin! Our coupe was, for the first few years, our main car and was used year round, but the cab is more a fine weather car - although has been known to get wet and cold occasionally!
