RED CAYENNE

Having thought about this for a bit, I do wonder...
/snip from an email to Helen, that might be worth putting here:

Maybe they really don't do the Cayenne in "other" colours?
The cars do come in painted and trimmed from the VW plant in Bratislava, maybe they just don't have the
facilities?

Does VW do the Cayenne in RED [:D]

RRRRrrrrruuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......................

No, they do a very nice Tourag in RED.

[:D]

I can't see any reference on the Porsche site to offerring the choice of painting the Cayenne in any colour although this does of course apply to the real Porsche models.
Re the local OPC , perhaps he is as fed up with Helens 'hot air' as the local group were as well as many forum members.

From the owner of a 4x4 rice-burner Mel that might just be a compliment [;)]

Flattery gets you everywhere Tony!!

Toerag high on my list for replacing the Pajero at the mo.........

i went serching for a red cayenne on the tinternet and all i found was this

Red_Chilis.jpg

maybee if you take this in to a dealer they'll do a dulux paint match like the woman with the shoes for you helen! [:D]

I was talking to a Porsche person at the weekend and was told the only colour to buy was a dark colour ie Black Green .He did not recommend even Silver..so as far a Red I think you will have a hard time when it comes to trading it in perhaps the local Fire dept might want it .Serious you buy want you want and to hell with it ..we are only here once so enjoy.

You could always save a shed load of cash on purchasing a new Cayenne and take the current Cayenne into a bodyshop and have it painted red if your that needy for a red one.
Its not like its that old is it?
Just a thought from outside the box.

Regards,

Neil Eldred

Helen,

Whilst at the Factory in Leipzig, I specifically asked them for you, if they could do any colours other than those offered in the brochure.
I'm afraid the answer was "no". So even though the Cayenne comes in fully painted and trimmed from the VW plant in Bratislava (where I believe they do a Red Toureg!) they just DO NOT do any option/special colours [&o]

That post mentions the Burnt Orange Cayenne at the Factory - I've got some photo's of that from our last trip - it is fitted out with 4 racing bucket seats [8D]

I'll have to see about getting the photos uploaded sometime...
