With the exception of the CarPlay upgrade, which would technically void the PCM from the warranty as the seal on the case had to be broken, the other elements are not related to the warranty and therefore do not affect it. The brake system is covered but not discs or calipers. On suspension the springs are covered but not dampers etc. Generally anything that is subject to wear (apart from the engine) is excluded.
Just a note on this, the warranty wording doesn't state that brake discs or calipers aren't covered or are excluded, that's not true. Shock absorbers also, it's not true to say they aren't covered or that they are excluded.
The most recent wording (and follows the lines of the previous versions if my memory serves correctly) states:
"The Policy does not cover any system or component on the Vehicle, which is defective, fails or requires replacement where such defect, failure or requirement is due to wear and tear."
then goes on to say:
"Below is a non-exhaustive list of items commonly subject to wear and tear, which if fail due to wear and tear will not be covered by Your Policy"
And it lists a bunch of components.
So the key here is that wear and tear isn't covered, and some components are more commonly subject to wear and tear, but it doesn't exclude those components from cover. If they fail due to wear and tear it won’t be covered.
Some real world experience: I have had one of the more obvious components subject to wear and team (a brake disc) replaced under the Porsche warranty. Without going into too much detail: the construction of the brake disc failed, and Porsche replaced it under warranty.
Hope this clarifies, and as an insurance underwriter of 20+ yrs I can always happily give a view on insurance products.
