Porsche Spotting

Spotted a Red 924 turning into BaE Warton from Lytham direction - I was a few cars behind heading to Preston, so couldn't wave.

Days like this I'm glad of the soft top, but scared of the paint fading more!

Hey Keith (SCZ) - was that you I spied heading north on the A21, just north of Tonbridge on Thursday 8th, 7:00pm or thereabouts?

Phil

Thursday 8th June

Saw a Gold 924 - registration A924 ??? in Ansdell about 17:00 - tried to catch up with you, but you turned right before I got chance. Next time....

Friday 9th June
A nice black 911 on the M60/M62 near Manchester - 15:25 heading East, and a White 911 joining the M61 west from the M65, about 15:55.

Not sure it's still really a Porsche but has anyone else seen a black Cayenne stretched limo!!! Was an absolute monster, at least 25 foot long, just leaving Leisure Lakes near Southport on Sunday afternoon. Don't suppose it'll do much off roading! Perhaps someone could build a stretch limo 944 but headroom would be tight and the handling ruined!!!

Spotted a Gold 944 heading North on the M6 just by the A59 junction at 12:00. At least I think it was a 944 and not a 924 - it was going too darn fast to be certain [:D].

I was heading South in my Mondeo

Saw a metallic green 924 heading clockwise round the A58(M) Leeds at about 16:30. I was doing my bit for England by not watching them play - they always lose if I see them!

well it worked! suppose club night didn't count for spotting purposes (hope you enjoyed it by the way) and I bet the gold 944 on the M6 on Wednesday was Mac (the chap showing us the photos). Especially as it was going quick!
Sadly, my porsche was spotted on the way home on Wednesday night... by 2 of her majesty's finest. Ate some humble pie and received a b*ll*cking - their words not mine - and a producer but luckily nothing else!

I'm not sure - I mentioned it to Mac and he said it wasn't him.

That's lucky - perhaps they were playing this Motorway Snooker game you mentioned and needed a Red or a Black one!

[:D] Remember standing at roadside (their opening greeting was "turn your engine off! Get out of the car!" and wondering how long it would be before Dean roared past in his 911. Managed to ring his mobile once free and give sufficient warning though!
Saw loveley red 944 cab in Hutton last week, parked up, roof down. Yours looked great - let me know how you get on at Hartech in July.

Nice one. The only time I've been booked for going too quick was in North Wales, heading for the ferry. An unmarked Red car got me. I was in a Blue car (5 points!). The guy was decent enough about it, saying how I'd got a good deal as the following Monday the fines were going to rise from £28 to £42. When all was finished, he said to me "If you're going to carry on at this speed, watch out for a White Vauxhall - it's my colleague!.

Thanks. It's getting its roof sorted at the moment, already going over budget as it has some rusted bolts somewhere, but I get it back tomorrow. I'll keep you posted about Hartech.

Pale metallic blue 944 S2 - G Reg, parked outside St. Annes District Club, Clifton Drive South, St Annes, at around 14:00. A very nice looking car. Amazingly, a third person got in and seemed comfortable in the back. She must have rubber legs or something.

I was in my better half's Rav-4 so I didn't wave. My car is at Hartech at the moment, receiving a big service ready for its 16th Birthday. Can't wait to get it back.

It's a good day in Lytham St Annes for Porsche spotting - saw another one - Red 944 Coupe, nothing on the back to say what model, nothing in the reg to give the age. Spotted just off St Leonards Rd West in St Annes.

H reg Rubystone Red S2 (or Turbo), first 944 I've ever seen in this colour. Leaving Northampton on the A428 for Bedford at lunchtime today.

Driven by a foxy looking blond lady with her hair up in a pony tail, blue ear rings, matching nails

(ok I made up the nails and earrings comment - I wasn't THAT close [:D])
