Porsche Spotting

It certainly used to be on here - it was in an avatar I think and it is a Silver Rose. I have a feeling it was sold a while back.

Just checked. It belongs to Rich Savage (rsavage3) who is still a member and last logged in about 3 weeks ago.

I know that the DVLA released A944 TBO in one of their auctions a while back & it was for sale in Porsche World for a while.

I used to have A944 RAR on my first 944 turbo.
Is it still around , i wonder ?
( lhd ,american spec.,several shades of silver, bit of a dog ! [:)]).

Tim, that registration is currently on a 1992 white 944 Turbo Cabrio that last changed hands in August 2003

..........according to the RAC website

[:D]You are right. I have had my 944 soft top for 10 months now and it is a real pleasure to drive. It is used everday and still brings a smile to my face especialy on the country roads! The only down side is that it has no air con so when it rains at this time of year the inside is bl...y hot. Drove from east Yorkshire to Devon last week and saw a few 944 but we were in the wifes mitsubishi(awful car but has air con)

Well there's a first time for everything! Silver Boxter driver waving at me the other day. Of all the millions and millions of Boxters i've seen on the roads this is the first one to wave! I was so astonished I forgot to wave back so he's probably thinking "Bloody ignorant 944 drivers"! In any case until I saw the palm of his hand up against the windscreen I thought he was reversing! Anyway I appreciated the sentiment and will be better prepared in future.

Cheers

My self and my missus on our way to Barmouth on Friday 2nd Sept. We were about 15 miles outside the back end of Corwen, and what can only be described as a metallic Purple 944 cab come blasting around the corner. The driver gave me quick flash on the old spotlights. Nice work fella!

Just got back from my holidays in Sydney and other than the usual plethora of 996's & Boxters I spotted a gorgeous 928S4 (never really paid much attention to 928's but this one was a beauty), an immaculate 993C2S and a guards red 924. No 944's though.

Any cahnce someone could post the link to find out what the number plate of a car relates to. I want to check my old motors to see if they are still on the road!!

Also, On topic, saw a Black 944 N/A heaading into Newcastle on Wednesday - looked nice. The reg started SCZ - I know there's someone on here with that as the start? They're pretty thin on the ground oop North. I mostly see them when travelling about.

Jim, what a top site! Never seen that before, well done! I looked up the reg that I want to buy K1 ETH, for obvious reasons, its on a Jag XK8 convertible 1997. Interesting, mind you the guys car is beige!!!!!!!![:D]

You do indeed! Not me though, I try not to go north of Brighton, Northerners talk funny, and call us poofs!

Two in one day, a very rare occurrence for Edinburgh. One Guards Red, no idea what it was, it is parked on a side street behind a number of cars, and one '88 944 in Titanium Silver. Any takers?
