Assuming any buyer knows what they are buying, the car is sensibly priced and they understand the implications of the required work then - no problem. If it's the sills, then it is only metal at the day.
2 years ago I bought a cheap '91 Turbo. Spent £2700 on a major service, new sills, wheel refurb, lower rear quarter repair, seat repair. Used the car for 6 months and then sold it for £5750. Essentially I more or less broke even, learned about the repairs and enjoyed the car for a while.
