Poole Quay 2006

I have just contacted Nick to book my slot for Poole quay, can't wait. I really enjoyed it last year and I understand we may be having our own Porsche evening, or at least closer to the action, the Quay Bar's that is...! Can anyone confirm this yet?
 
I understand that we are getting the same area as last year. We are sharing the evening with "red open top sports cars" From past experience not all the entrants will be in the least bit sporty! Hopefully we can monopolise the whole quay for 2007.

I'm very happy to know that after least years successful event, the Dorset region will be taking the mantle to run this event for 2006...

due to other commitments I couldn't get involved in organising this event for this year, but you'll all in safe hands with Nick and the rest of the Dorset team... but I may be able to come down this year depending on the date, I'll watch out for the date?

and to think that in '05 the Quay was full with 37 Porsche's on that particular weekend !
 
Hi All :)

I didnt realise this was on at Poole quay lol :)

I live around 4 miles away ...and as I could not see any 928s in last years pictures ,would anyone mind if I come along :) ?

Are there any details ..dates, times etc for this yet ?

Only a week away now, and it looks like we will have quite a range of cars there again. Where are the pictures from last year? just to remind us?

Hello, Just looked at your regions events as from Swindon (R16) and noticed your evening this Friday. Was wandering if you had any more spaces left for a 993 Targa possibly if didnt mind an intruder ?? [;)]
 
Not a problem, see Nick996 link above and email him to guarantee a place, there are still 6 places left.

Had a walk along the Quay tonight as i live about 2 miles away,
stunning line up of porsches, they should have had you all up the other end!!

Pick mine up in the morning [:)]
 
Enjoy the GT3. This is the next car im kinda considering along with poss a 993 turbo. Where did you manage to find it. Theres a Mk1 v-reg I believe on the auto trader web site at the moment. Have a good w-end, hope the suns out for you.[;)]

Anyway, made it down from Swindon. Spoke a while to a chap with a 928 with nitros kit attached, seemed to know his stuff on it all. Cheers.
 
Thanks to all who made the effort to attend. I agree it would be better if we could get the other end of the quay, we are trying to organise that for future years.

geoff how did it all go.. any pics....

gutted I couldn't make it [:mad:] maybe we should have a chat about getting the entire quay for 2007 [:D]
 
Another successful event with a good showing of Porsches. This event now seems to be firmly embedded in the annual calander. Pics should be posted by Nick996.[8D]
The organising sponsors have been contacted regarding the club holding a national level event utilising the whole quay but as yet no reply.[:(]

stuart, mine is the one that was on Pistonheads.
Geoff, will be along to the Aug meet as im working in London after next week for 3 weeks & will unfortunately miss July20th[:(]
ive done a whole tank of petrol today [:D] & just cant stop driving it!!!! worth every penny & some
