OPC recommendations for servicing & new standalone warranty

I will soon be collecting my first Porsche from Cameron Sports Cars😃 in Bath.
It’s a 2015 991.1 Carrera 2 with low mileage and a great spec. It has had all but its last service and MOT at OPCs. The last one was done last year at a Porsche specialist. Cameron provides a 6 month warranty, which will cover me until October. As the 12 yr service (inc PDK) is due next March, I was thinking of booking that in with an OPC in October and then adding a new 3 yr Porsche warranty.

As I’m new to the Porsche world I would welcome the forum’s advice on this approach, as well as recommendations on good OPCs to use for this. I live in west London and will consider dealers within a 2 hour drive. I’ve heard good things about Swindon, Guildford and Bournemouth, and I see that Bournemouth offers good discounts on servicing for PCGB members.

Thanks for your advice!

Bournemouth give 25% off servicing if you mention you’re a club member. Extending the warranty will spark up a debate for and against however I have extended warranty on my 718. If you’re risk averse then get it but if you’re disciplined enough to put a fixed amount away each month to cover every eventuality then that may work for you as well.

Read the warranty terms and conditions to make sure you know exactly what’s and isn’t covered so you can make a decision.

Dan.
