I've watched motor sport for all of my 50+ years and this is one of the worst crashes I've seen. There were no serious injuries.
MR2 Crash
Started so innocently possibly by the guy in the middle.
 
The things some people will do to be first in the bar at The Kentagon Suite - just to the left of the crash, and where R25 holds its monthly meets!

Unbelievable that there were no serious injuries!
 
I had a MR2 hit me going into Luffield two years ago in the 6 hour race. He went straight over the top of me and landed with his REAR wheels on my bonnet. Afterwards he said "Sorry mate, I was waiting for your brake lights". Not clever to try waiting for a Caterham to brake first, in anything other than a F1 car.

I remember telling the guys at the first dyno day in Northampton about when I learnt this lesson. I chased a superlight R500 once, it was great fun to watch and way faster on the straights but I was determined to make back time on the bends. Seems I was watching him closer than my speedo because as I lightly tweaked the steering to turn into the bend (before actually turning in) the rear end of the car broke away leaving me in that most worrying situation of looking at the tightening apex whilst trying to regain control of the rear end! After a buttock clenching 3 digit moment I managed to slide all the way through the corner and lose just enough speed to make it out the other end. The Caterham continued without braking, wheels sticking out to the side like fly waiting to launch before the swatter. I won't be making that mistake again!
 
I mentioned this incident over on PH with reference to the recent Pete Morris / Marcus Carniel smash up at Oulton. In both incidents the armco collapsed on impact forming a ramp to launch the car into the air, or rather launch it further than it was already going as I believe Pete's car was launched off the rear quarter of Marcus's S2.
