New to the Forum and need buying advice

Just an anorak note : you might want to put some HD tape or anything so that the yellow sticker mentioning the firing order on the camshaft pulley housing doesn't stick off and disappear. They all do that and you have one of the rare cars that still has it [:)]

TTM, i tried with the OPC to get some of those stickers unfortunately PET does not show them, Martin can maybe take a look at his to see if there is a part number on them ?

OVC means it was first registered in or around Coventry. Although there hasn't been an OPC in Cov to my knowledge. Bham would have a different no, unless its been changed.

The car came from Evans Halshaw in Warwick (dialling code 0926)

Warwick is 01926 so presume there is no longer a dealer in Warwick?

Monarch were in Warwickshire where they not ? Martin the little yellow sticker on the alloy section above the distributor cap, take a look and see if there is a part number on it may start 944/951 let us know.
Anorak Time !

I'm leaving for the NEC Classic Car Show at 5am so will do it when I get back on Saturday morning.

Hope to see some of you at the NEC as I am there iny capacity as a Registrar for the Ford RS Owners Club but will no doubt be spending time on the Porsche stands :)

Car looks great, really pretty, great choice to go back to D90s,really hope you enjoy her[:)]

Car looks very nice [8D] It's unusual to see a 250 turbo with cloth seats but at least they are nice and warm when you first sit on them this time of year.

I think MarkK got a replacement yellow sticker for his engine bay a few years ago so they are (or were) available - blummin anoraks [:D]

Spoke to Martin tonight and he was asking for advice on lag which i had told him to expect, looks as though he has a set of D90 Turbo rims lined up (good shout) car appears to be standard and he has said that is the way he wants to keep it that way (fair shout) but a run in the Turbo S with some go faster goodies may wet his appetite [;)]

Another local to me (Mr Ruddy) went darn sarf with Martin and ended up coming back with a red S2, also spoke to him tonight and he says the car is "right" he knows his cars so it will be, surprised we have not heard from him yet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,where are you son ?

A word of warning that he is well versed in the art of sarcasm but funny with it [:D]

The pair of them are up for some "interactive" runs off LM / Germany and the like.........................the more the merrier.

I do try to amuse myself at the expense of others ....[:D]

Very happy with my S2, the intention was to use the car daily'ish but I think after a bit of detailing (ex concours man) the car may be saved for Sunday best, plus having only covered 62k from new I'd like to keep some daily miles off it.

Looks like I'll have to buy another as a daily runner ....!!

The car is standard except for the Boxter alloys that are currently fitted but are being sold and replaced with the correct Design 90 alloys next week.

Car was originally supplied by Evans Halshaw Warwick and the options fitted were :-

220 LSD
288 Headlight Washers
383/387 Sports Electric Seats
490 Upgaded Stereo Package
526 Cloth Covered Door Panels
533 Alarm
573 Air Conditioning
593 ABS
605 Headlight Adjustment
650 Electric Sunroof

The seats feel like new and I don't think the rear seats or passenger seat have hardly been sat in they are that good. There are a few stonechips as expected, but all the electrics etc. work and the body is in excellent condition with bone dry sills and no leaks anywhere.

Here are a few pics before I bought it, and I will put more up when I have changed the wheels and added the Cup Sport steering wheel [;)]
