New 250 BHP project

Just got back from Derbyshire with this

It was taken in for bodywork repair to front wing and bumper and the owner didn't pay first instalment so it has been in the back of a workshop for 14 years.

43K on the clock and all the usual late 944T parts - cant wait to get started on it.

first thing new wings and new wheels

Looks like a great project although it must have been a sore one financially for it to be abandoned. Last taxed in 2003.

Promise us if you decide to resell it in the future you won't say FSH ie 1991 to 2003 and then 2014 onwards!

Good luck with it. Sports interior?

I wish I could say FSH etc but to be honest I have no paperwork with it so will be chasing Porsche to find out whats been done on it.

okay heres the killer question

originally red - shall I change the colour as I will be stripping completely.

Your car, your colour choice. If it was mine I'd either stick with red or do something a bit different for a 944, say yellow or orange maybe, but not pink....or brown.

Red, because its original, and will be worth more in time.

Viper Green because you want something different but no-one else will fully agree :)

Red

Good luck with it, interesting project

944t

Good luck with the project.

I think keep it red or if you are feeling adventurous go with tahoe blue. I'm probably alone on the later option.

Almost no-one else will agree! I'd vote for Viper Green as well, just 'cuz it's one of the most awesome car colours ever.

thanks for replies

I always loved moro blue but just not sure. If I go red I think I will use the VW flash red.

stripped car today and had a clean - will post some pictures later

yes I brought it 4 years ago now and decided to sell it in February as I just wasn't driving it enough.

sold it without advertising to simon on tipec a very nice chap.

this came up at a could not refuse price and mileage so thought I would take it on.

I am looking for a set of 944T alloys and you usually have a few spares - do you have anything for reasonable money needing a refurb.

I actually don't have many 944 parts to mention of now.... Not owned a 944 for over a year now. Any parts I had were sold or given away (the cheap bits!). I focus on my 968 now and have sets of wheels for that only. Always looking for a route back into 944t ownership though and regret selling my Zermatt '89 turbo now.

Good luck with the resto.
