My first Porsche ...

Dunners

New member
... well joint ownership anyway. :)

The car was previously owned by a gentleman named Ben AKA Bennyboy (forum name). Myself and my Dad took ownership back in June this year having made the long trip from Milton Keynes to Lancashire.

We drove numerous 944's prior to this one, but each one never really ticked all the boxes. Every aspect about the car was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.

Over the weekend the car was treated to a full clean and 'detail'. It was an all day excursion, however I was extremely pleased with the results. As my Dad currently owns a 968 CS (currently up for sale on Pistonheads) we thought we'd better get a couple of pictures with the cars together before it finds itself a new home.

Hope you enjoy ...

looks the nuts!!

now, question is, which ones better, the '44 or '68?

Now that is 'THE' question. I'll have to ask my Father that one ...

In terms of looks though, I think they're just about equal. There's nothing in it as well in terms of straight line speed either, but I think the 944 has the edge in the corner department given it's current setup.

its a pity the '68 didn't retain the front end of the s2/tubby as the combo of the 68 rear and the s2 front (pop up lights) would be a lovely looking car. i prefer the s2 shape than the '68 myself. lovely cars tho non the less. :)

My car is white, but these pics confirm my strong opinion that if I ever get a second one it will be black...

out of interest, what are dem der weelz??

look stunning on a black motah, think they'll look rather splendid on my cabrio!!

Ah, so BennyBoy sold did he? Good buy - it was a well looked-after car.

Enjoy it. I'd be surprised if the 968 wasn't a fair bit slower. The 944 was a lighter car than the 968, and Ben's turbo was (I think) not standard.

Oli.

I love that black Turbo that was Benny Boys, black is a complete nightmare to keep though, ask me how i know !!
I have a vented badge panel to go on my black car courtesy of Ben (Devine E), constructive critisicsm i would prefer the standard oval tail pipe, in large of course.
Wheels look supberb, got me thinking of red calipers now, absolutely no shame for copying [:)]

Get a porsche emblem fitted to the rear panel also, circa £29 from the main dealers back end looks blank. IMHO

Very nice Dunners, if it hadnt of sold I was going to look at that car myself.

I have a number plate coming up for sale shortly that would look great on that car [;)]

Hi Drew, was hoping you would end up on here, this lot are a great bunch of guys and I would recommend you pop along to the next meet if you get the chance. Car is looking amazing! I always promised myself I would get it detailed (even asked for contributions towards the cost for my birthday present once!) but never got round to it - glad you have done so already. Can't make out in the pictures whether or not you sorted the drivers front wing already? Anyway, glad you're enjoying it, will be great to see your progress with it in the future...

Was gutted when I saw you and your Dad leaving my house - firstly having to say goodbye to mine, and secondly not getting a go in your Dad's uberwagon!

Oh, just one thing, I'm in Lincolnshire, not Lancashire - you southerners are all the same - get North of Watford and it's just North right?!
