Museum trip and ring trip next year

Paul, Mike is a no as he is at the Museum with his 964 Anniversary at the end of the month (May) Bob is still sucking through his teeth so an outside maybe ? Al who bloody started this has gone quiet [;)]
And no more input from the previous posters, so come on lads what are your thoughts, Hull would do me, probably another 50 brick in fuel but a cheaper crossing, still not booked the ring hotel nor Stuttgart so need to sort myself out.
Al, Have you heard anything back from the factory ?
Edd, anymore thoughts ?
Anyone else pipe up !

Jim, I'm keeping my options open, but not committing at this stage. Looks like you guys have pretty much sorted out whats happening and when. Looks like its going to be a good'n.

Personally even though i live 5 miles from North Shields ferry, i think we should do the Hull - Zeebrugge ferry route as i can get us a return crossing per couple including car for £160, compared to the crossing from North Shields been around the £325 mark...

Ferry crossing out - Mon 29th 18:30 - Tue 30 April 08:45
Ferry crossing return - Sat 4th 19:00 - Sun 5th 09:00

Let me know everyone's thoughts, of course we need to work out the difference in mileage i.e. fuel cost to the ferry crossing cost ?

Thanks

I'm happy to travel by Hull as the extra 210 miles round trip will only cost £45 in fuel but will save £150+ on the Ferry [:)]

Hi Martin

That's what i was looking to figure out the extra mileage & is that the round trip, just i was wanting to know what it would be from my postcode "NE13 7BH" & if i'll make a saving ?

Just i think the ferry is furture to Dinslaken from Zeebrugge than Amsterdam also Boppard back to Zeebrugge ?

Thanks Paul [:D]

For you Paul its 140 miles each way so working on 30mpg and just over 9 gallons of fuel the cost would be £56.00 so saving £100 on the crossing after extra fuel [;)]

Ferry cost - Car return £86, 2 & 4 berth cabin's £115 return in total, extra £24 if you want a window, so £129 per cabin return...

So 4 people could sleep in a 4 berth if they wanted & it would only be £28.75 pp return.

Thanks

Is that £115 per person return or per cabin? If it's £28.75 per perosn then that is brilliant

If its per person that makes it £201 so not much cheaper than Newcastle after you take the extra fuel into account

Just spoken to P & O and got a booking reference which seems too good to be true [:D]

Travelling from Hull to Rotterdam 29th April : 8.30pm crossing
Travelling from Rotterdam to Hull 4th May : 8.30pm crossing

1 x 4 Berth Cabin return including 1 car @ £250.00
3 x cars return crossing @ £35.00 each = £105.00

Total for 4 cars and 4 people = £355.00

That's only £88.75 each [:)]

Hi Martin

That seems a great deal, only problem is there are 5 people going so far, is there a 6 berth cabin ?

Thanks

No but if we get a 4 berth and a 2 berth it should still be cheap

1 x 4 berth with one car = £250
1 x 2 berth with one car = £250
4 x cars @ £35 = £140.00

Total £640 still works out at £106.67 each [:)]

Martin can you get the same prices for the Zeebrugge crossing ? if not it doesn't matter, the only reason i ask is it's a more scenic route ?

Amendment - I've just realised the Zeebrugge crossing is cheaper

1 x 4 berth - £115 return
1 x 2 berth - £115 return
4 x cars @ £86 = £344 return
Total £574 = £114.80 per person

Martin £640 = £128 per person

Cheers [;)]

Ok, spoken to P & O again and the price is the same.

Difference in distance to Oberhausen is about 30 miles more from Zeebrugge rather than Rotterdam

Hull-Zeebrugge : Depart 18:30 (14 hour travel time)

1 x 4 Berth Cabin
1 x 2 Berth Cabin
6 x Cars

Total = £638 (£106.34 per person)

Hull-Rotterdam : Depart 20:30 (12 hour travel time)

Same price as above

The lady says as people book up the prices will increase so the sooner we book this the better the price will be [:)]

I think the confusion here is Martin is dividing the cost by 6 (6 beds) whereas Totty is dividing by 5 ( 5 travellers).

Who's the 5th Totty ?

Me
Martin
Frenchy
Totty
?

Yeah i think there is some confusion, the fifth traveller is my co-driver Julie-ann.

Anyways just a clarify - Hull - Zeebrugge

Each car £86 return x 4 = £344

Either a 2 or 4 berth cabin - Hull - Zeebrugge = £41 (winter rate)
Either a 2 or 4 berth cabin - Zeebrugge - Hull = £53 (summer rate)

Total £94

So the best arrangement would most likely be 1 x 2 berth & 1 x 4 berth = £188

Total for 4 x cars = £344
Total for 2 x cabins = £188
Total in all = £532

£106.40 per person.

Also Craig @ http://www.just-ferries.com confirmed those prices were fixed, so it wouldn't matter when we book, but i would rather get everything confirmed sooner rather than later...

Thanks

Let's sort it then........Warning ! i am prone to snoring and farting [:D] seriously though not fussed as long as i have a clean and warm bed to put my head down, not fussed, i will go with the flow.

Agree however we travel it looks like the cost is going to be around £100 per person. Lets get it sorted and we then know it is all done [:D]
