Martin, it would be happening late April, early May, calling to see Ruddy tomorrow.

Get a deposit of him then he can't change his mind

I had the royal visit this afternoon , Jim forgot to leave £1 for his coffee, does he not know how hard times are for us pensioners [;)]

I'm up for the German run..........as long as the car is off the axle stands and my floor pans are polished enough

Martin / People
I called around to Ca****on Drive today to see my old mate Mr Ruddy and view his S2, Well what a great buy it really is a truly original, straight unmolested example, a little bit of minor paint and he will be taking concourse trophy's home, he will freely admit to cleaning the floorpan over the last week or so !

I will also remind him that he is going to use it, he and Martin with his newly acquired Turbo are keen on this Germany trip..........................which IS happening.

An e mail from Sonja one of the organisors looks as though we will be able to get entrance tickets the day before the show or possibly on the day, that is if intrerested parties want to do this show ?
Am i assuming this is what people want to do ?

What the hell are peoples preferences ?

Let's have it, so that we can plan.

Well Jim, both myself and Martin are certs for this Dinslaken show, Ring and museum trip

I just did a quick check on the ferrys and the info is below

Outbound
Monday 29th April from Newcastle @ 17:00 arrives Ijmuiden 09:30

Return
Friday 3rd May from Ijmuiden @ 17:00 arrives Newcastle 09:00

Car and 2 passengers , inside cabin wc/shower

£327

HOW MUCH?

Chuff me. If ferries are going to be that much then I fear I won't be able to afford it. Last time I caught a ferry to Europe and back it was £40 or so ...

E20 For show tickets, Rudds it will probably be Saturday ferry home to be comfortable, that is if there is a Saturday ferry (for the northern tribes) not sure what the Southern lads are doing ? i nominate Edd to be Southern Squadron Leader [:D]

Alasdair, some input please so that we can get moving................................ the natives are getting restless ! [;)]

Update: directferries.com are showing me Dover-Calais return from Monday 29th April to Friday 3rd May is £70. Car and two passengers. That's not so bad. Those northern ferry prices are steep.

Oli.

Ja. Und uns ist 90 minuten ohne kabine, ohne bier und extra bezahlen, um die abtritt zu verwenden.

Plötzlich uns sieht teuer.

There is a Saturday ferry Jim, same times and price at the moment.

Harwich to Rotterdam is probably better as it saves a 300 mile trip in France, Germany is about 4 hours away from the terminal if I remember correctly.
Alasdair

Al, Take some time out to speak to your man at the ring, i would say at least 10 rooms, this would be for Wednesday and Thursday night, after a day at the Ring.

B & B with a shower for me and Ruddy [:D]

I don't do camping anymore so we need to be near to where you lads are camping on the nights you are roughing it [:'(]

Al, can you talk to yer man with a view to rooms and prices for 1-2 May ? looks as though we have a minimum of ten cars.

Ferry from North Shields £318, ferry from Hull £238, ??? I wouldn't worry about Saturday ferries, the 6th of May is a bank holiday Monday so we should all be off work anyways so i would say Sunday ferry home ??!!!

Monday night - Ferry crossing
Tuesday night - TRYP Centro Oberhausen Hotel ???
Wednesday night - Ring Hotel
Thursday night - Ibis Stuttgart City Hotel ???
Friday night - Hotel
Saturday night - Ferry crossing

Let me know thoughts, i'm thinking of booking hotel rooms tonight ???

Thanks [:D]

P.S. Whats the point in staying at the "Ring Hotel" for two nights, i say head over to Stuttgart & sample the night life on the Thursday ???

So , is the plan so far

Monday , ferry outbound (kip on ferry)
Tuesday, travel to Dinslaken ( hotel near Dinslaken)
Wednesday, show at Dinslaken ( hotel near Dinslaken)
Thursday , travel to Ring ( hotel near ring)
Friday , Stuttgart museum ? (Hotel)
Saturday ? Ferry

I'm not fussed whatever we do as a non worker I'm available [:D]

Hey Lads

I've just booked the first hotel stop after the Monday night ferry crossing, so i am spending Tuesday the 30th of April in the TRYP Centro Oberhausen Hotel, costing £28.60, looks absolutely perfect for me... [:D]

To get the best price search via "Trivago" & you will find that "Lastminute.com" comes up trumps !!! [;)]

Anyways lads will be speaking to Jim (Frenchy) tomorrow night & booking ring hotel along side stop between ring & museum hotel...

Cheers Paul
