just read from the London newletter, following the regions re-structure, my postcode of TW1 has put me into the Thames Valley region !

which is ok, but as London is still closer to me..work in the middle and live in the SW near Richmond, although also work now and again in Reading !

how do I stay informed of what is going on... as I'm still interested in attending and supporting London ! err.... can I do that with 2 regions ?

or will there be forums posts of what is going on, apart from Melv's posts on the Ace ! (which I think I have seen somewhere...[:-])

regards

You can go to whichever Regions you wish (I go to about 5).

You should be able to keep track of events by checking the Forum here.

If you in Richmond you should come along to the meetings at the Dysart Arms - it's only up the road a bit! [:D]

All you have to do is fill in the back portion of the somewhat confusing letter ,and your membership of London region will continue.

There is a new Regional Organiser,Johannes and Helen Bodenhausen.
They have some great ideas and I am sure will welcome support.

KEEP THE LONDON REGION ALIVE AND WELL,KEEP THE CAR OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN.

See you all at the Ace Cafe on Monday

It's odd, since I've only been aware since the re-structiuring that I'm a London member, although I live in Surrey...confused? You will be.......

As Mark says, you are free to visit whichever regional meeting or event that you wish to.

Well I haven't seen a letter either, as I am a Surrey Region member[:D]

Mind you, I think I've only ever received one letter from Surrey (and one from an OPC in Surrey) in the 7 years or so I've been a member:rolleyes::ROFLMAO:

What letter is Paul refering too?

letter 1 pre-xmas was a vote of how the region's geography should / could be changed ?

letter 2 post xmas was a proposal of how the change should happen based on post-codes.....

clearly I didn't realise the last page wasn't more postocodes (I stopped when I got to my postcode !) [:)]

Paul, it's looks like Thames Valley have been saved from Sundeep993 ! my vote is to stay in London ! [:D]

prob' better send the back page back then ! [;)]

well at least I'm logged as a London region , now if I could only get on that car register list.. although that's another matter entirely !

I got the impression that the dysart meetings will stop - there seems to be no recent mention of them.

Can anyone clarify this?.

I think you'll find they will carry on as long as people keep turning up.
There is a regular core of people - plus the early-911 register, that will still keep going.

so a reminder of the dates & times... [:)]

The Dysaet Arms will continue, with some alternative venues being introduced by Johannes in the future once he has got his feet under the table and also finds out more about the requirements of the members.

Wherever we meet someone is going to have to drive further than someone else.

HAVE FUN

So how do I know which region I am a member of (just joined) and does that region contact me? Or what?

Confused in Enfield.

if you were already part of the london region , did you not get any letters ?

I have received nothing from any region - just a copy of porsche post (well, 2 copies now) and a welcome letter from "HQ".

Methinks there something amiss, there seem to be quite a few people in London (I'm in Enfield) who didn't get the letter.

Hi Neil, another Enfield member , we'll have to think about forming our own region!. If you have anything to moan about, want to put forward an idea or just introduce yourself to your Region turn up at the monthly London meets - the Ace cafe on Monday will be a good start - but I can't make it - especially after some BLIND IDIOT REVERSED INTO MY 911 - (no offence to blind people) or phone the new RO or your Register Sec. The numbers are in the back of 'PP' . Pop round here for a chat if you are near.

According to 'the letter' from Bob Lovelace, (I'll bring it on Monday) EN1 and EN3 will come under Region 11 -Essex!! Save me a girl, chasps....[;)]

'The postcodes used are taken from the mail-out addresses of the member'.

London Region has been divvied up so anybody within the North and South Circular is in the London Region.

However, and I quote, 'If the solution that has been found does not suit you then you are at liberty to request a move to any of the adjoining Regions that are available and this can be done using the attached form.'

How many forms shall I bring to the Ace on Monday???? [:D]
